I think it's truly important to know the difference between regression and DL (dom little).
Age regression is a coping mechanism, often used by people who need stress release, or those that may need to relive certain parts of their childhood that they missed due to trauma.
DL is about the fetishization of regression, such as finding people in onesies attractive rather than cute, and finding that doing the dirty is better when there are childlike elements such as pigtails, onesies, rompers, as well as diapers. ABDL (adult baby diaper lover) is the fetishization of diapers.
Regression is purely non sexual, while DL is often sexual.
