"See you later," Anthoine kissed Teresa's cheek as they exited the school building. It caused the youngest member of the Leclerc family to blush, and she gave the French boy a smile and a wave. She walked further, hoping Jules hadn't spotted her with Anthoine. He would tease her too bad, and then with the criticizing looks of her father... Teresa shivered at the idea, but she didn't have to worry about anything, because Mick was picking her up. The guard leaned against the Land Rover, a pair of sunglasses on his face as he wore the neat suit he was always dressed in. "Mick, what are you doing here?" Teresa asked, letting him take her bag from her and open the door of the passenger's side of the car. "Your dad asked me to pick you up from school. Jules was occupied," Mick commented, taking his seat behind the wheel.

"Or did he ask you to spy on me?" Teresa asked, glancing over at Mick as he started the car. Mick's lips curled upwards a little, and in combination with the way his fingers glided over his jaw before they placed on the steering wheel, already gave her an answer.

"I can't comment on that," Mick added. Teresa let out a huf of air, crossing her arms over her chest. "I won't tell him that boy was kissing you," he continued, making her groan now, her cheeks colouring red in embarrassment.

"He didn't kiss me!" She defended herself. "Just my cheek," Teresa added, a little softer now. "Relax, I'm just teasing you. I was sixteen once, I know how it goes," Mick said. "Did your parents ever tell you about how your mother almost lost you when you were a little, unborn baby?" Mick continued, his tone serious now. "Just the red line of what happened with my dad and the crew," Teresa muttered, propping her head up on her hand, as she wasn't in the mood for a lecture. "Well, don't tell your mother I told you about all of this..." Mick started again. "But she was captured by a bad guy, along with Jules and Liam. If Charles didn't make it in time, I'm not sure if you..." Mick gnawed at his bottom lip. "If I was what, Mick?" Teresa asked. "If you had been born at all," he said, looking at her as he stopped for a traffic light. "Nearly a month later, Joanne and your brothers were in danger again. I think it caused a trauma for your dad, Teresa. He's very protective of you," he said, continuing the drive as the light flickered green. "And Anthoine's father is Pierre Gasly, he's a good friend and partner of your dad's. I think he will calm down about it, he knows what kind of kid your boyfriend is," Mick said. "He's not my boyfriend," Teresa muttered, biting on one of her nails as she thought about everything Mick told her.

"Do Mr. Gasly and my dad know each other for a long time?" Teresa asked. Mick nodded, driving through the opened gate of the Leclerc residence. "They have done business together before he became your father's assistant. Pierre left his position at this crew not long ago. He started his own, but they are still very well-connected," Mick explained, halting the car and shutting down the engine. "But, you haven't heard all of this from me," he said, his hand brushing over her cheek. "The rest of the talk about the birds and the bees is a task for your mom," Mick said. "Mick!" she exclaimed, covering her face with her hands. Mick laughed as he excited the car, taking Teresa's bag with him. The front door already opened, Joanne showing up in the doorway with a wide smile. "Hi, mom," Teresa spoke up, allowing the kiss Joanne pressed to her cheek. "Hi, baby. There's a tea and some cookies for you on the table," she said.

"Also for me?" Mick asked with a grin.

"Also for you if you want," Joanne cooed, squeezing the younger man's face as he bent down to let her press a kiss to his cheek as well.

"I need to go," Mick said. "I'll be back in an hour," he added. "Sure," Joanne nodded, holding the door open as he left again, taking the same car.

Mick drove off the driveway of the residence and back onto the road. The reason why Jules was occupied, is because he had an appointment with Mick now and needed to do some business beforehand. Jules had vaguely told him about the meeting he wanted to have with this new mobster, a new crew. Mick had never heard of them, but apparently Charles had advised Jules to inform himself well and take Mick. The guard liked that Charles showed his son the ropes and now let him take slow, independent steps to become the leader Charles had become at a very young age. Mick couldn't help but compare the two, as Jules had the same face, the same blue eyes, the same passionate gaze. He parked the car, seeing Jules' Ferrari was already parked in front of the place where they were meeting. Walking in, he saw the younger Leclerc sitting at a table already. "Hey, you're just in time," Jules told him, as the waitress came by their table and put down two macchiatos, Jules' left eye dropping in a wink and a grin curled his lips, causing the girl's cheeks to redden and her eyes to sparkle. "And thanks for picking up my sister. I was able to get some more information in the meantime," Jules started.
