WITH SQUINTED EYES AND a steady breath the predator watched her prey walk down a dark alley in the middle of the night, stumbling from wall to wall as the woman had too much to drink at the local pub.

The predator never lost concentration from her dinner, making sure to listen out for unwanted attention as well so she wasn't surprised. Her brown eyes widened in hunger when she watched the woman fall over her feet, whispering incoherent words to herself but the predator heard her clear as day thanks to her supernatural enhanced hearing.

The predator had to admit, she hated preying on the women in the town she's grown to love and care for. But the guilt all went away when she shut that part off. She needed to feed in order to survive.

     Survive.

The woman's heart beat rang through the predators ears, something she could hear from a mile away. The blood pumping in her veins made her drool in anticipation. She wanted to eat straight away but she needed to be cautious, aware of her surroundings since she didn't want to get caught by anyone.

She could never be too careful.

The woman stumbled back to her feet, pushing off the wall of the alleyway. Her breath could be seen in the air as she breathed the toxic air of Birmingham. Her vision hazy and her mind filled with alcohol and cotton from her time at the Marquis pub.

She shoved her hands in her coat pockets as she continued to walk. "Bloody clumsy me." She shook her head and steadied herself.

As she took another step, she bumped into something again which made her stumble back. She lost a bit of her footing but managed to catch herself as her eyes found a girl standing in front of her that looked to be the size of a pin.

The girl smiled up at her, her long eyelashes batting to try enchant her into not leaving. And it worked with any gender.

     It always worked.

The woman chuckled, becoming a little flustered as she looked around, seeing if anyone else was around. "Sorry love. Didn't see where I was going."

She shrugged. "No apologies necessary. I should've watched where I was going as well." Her accent thick as thieves just like the woman opposite the predator.

The woman swallowed as she stared at the girl, trying to get a good look at her since there was barely any lighting around. The woman drunk out of her mind tried to get a grasp of her surroundings. She cleared her throat and tried to stand straighter but failed miserably.

"What's a little thing like you doing out here at this time of night, eh?" She asked her, her eyes still trying to see a glimpse of what she looked like.

The girl rolled her shoulders and walked into the shimmer of light that shone down in the alleyway, her appearance finally appearing to the women. Her eyes grew wide at the girls astonishing beauty, her heart beating faster as nerves ran through her blood making her a little sober at how enchanting she looked.

"I'm on my way home," she smiled seductively, making the woman slouch as she let her defence down. She became aroused at the sight of her. "I just finished work at the pub. I work at the Garrison."

The woman raised an eyebrow. "Really? I like to drink at the Marquis you see. Less trouble."

The girl chuckled knowing what she meant by her statement. "May I know your name?"

"Nancy Lipton," she answered, swallowing saliva to moist her throat that seemed to get drier and drier by the minute. "And yours?"

Suddenly, Nancy's eyes widened as she stared at the girl in front of her. Her appearance changed as her eyes turned a blood like red, veins crawling out underneath her eyes and a malicious snarl could be heard from her mouth.
