I moaned in pain on my hospital bed. Why am I in pain?

Oh right, I cheated on Audrilina with Pepsi and now I'm in pain.

Audrilina is a piece of crap. Causing me the pain got me in the freaking hospital bed I am in right now. I want to kill her.

"Alpha?" John asked.

John is the father of my mate. Excuse me, ex-mate. She's just a sorry excuse of a super bad mate.

"Yes?" I answered.

"There is another attack at the Black Night Territory. A 9 year old girl, in fact," John said.

I couldn't help it, but tears spilled on to my cheeks. Which person (or wolf, in this case) would kill an innocent little girl? She's so young, she had a whole life ahead of her.

"What's her status?" I asked, worried because I'm the future Alpha of this pack.

"She's a Seer wolf. One of the younger ones," came John's obedient reply. "Alpha, and her scene of death looks like Mackenzie's death scene. They are hosting a wolf meeting at Black Night Territory. All are invited. Are we going, Alpha?"

"Yes. Now get me out of this bed," I demanded.

John and I were ready within an hour. Pepsi is begging to go with us.

"I'm going to be the future Luna," she pleaded. "I have to know what is happening in the pack."

Deep down I know she is right, but Audrilina is still Luna of this pack. No matter what. Pepsi will never get the respect of being the Luna.

"No," I replied. "You're not the true Luna of this pack."

Pepsi glared at me and gasped in shock. She accused, "You still have the feelings for her. I actually honestly thought I was the one for you. I hate you. Mate."

I can't blame Pepsi for getting pissed, it is true I still have feelings for her.

Pepsi spun on her heel angrily and ran off. To another pack, I hope. Just like Audrilina.

I still don't know where she went. It is like looking for a long lost love that will never ever come back to me.

John and I left the house and got into the car. John was driving and I was just like, sitting there, in a space cadet moment.

The silence was comforting after what happened the past few days. Audrilina's birthday, me rejecting just because she wasn't a strong enough wolf, she running away, and Audrilina causing me the pain. Oh right, I freaking cheated on her with my ex-chosen mate. I knew I was always bad with the girls.

John pulled up at the Black Night's Territory an hour later. Normally it'll take 15 minutes to reach there in wolf, but then the pack doctor said it is not recommended for me to shift right now.

Leo, the Alpha greeted us. "Hi, I'm Leo Condie, the Alpha of this pack. I'm still trying to convince my younger cousin to get out here and meet the people that is coming. It isn't easy, considering the fact her parents died not long ago."

My heart filled with understanding. My parents died 2 years ago and John was helping me in the Alpha position.

"I understand," I answered.

Leo had trouble looking at me.

What is wrong, other than the rouge attack? I spoke up," Take me to her."

His eyes widen in fear.

"No, the meeting is going to start soon," he lied.

Why is Leo lying?

What is he hiding from me?

I went off to socialize with other wolves.

What is wrong?
