4...I seem to be more honest
✧Olivia was in the middle of her family's grounds, the sky was a light shade of blue with a mix of pastel pink and yellow. She could smell the flowers and somehow she heard a laugh and decided to ran towards it, no one was there. She could still hear the laugh so she kept looking for it.
The trees were different there was life in them. The warm sun on her skin felt like the most perfect thing ever and it made her weep a little. She heard the laugh again, but this time she saw a tall body with no face calling for her. Olivia. Olivia. Olivia. She laughed and heard that same laugh in return. The voice calling for her was soft and sweet, and she saw a hand ready to hold hers.
When she took the strangers hand they started running until they got to a place where this stranger decided to stop and laid on the ground, Olivia followed this action and heard the laugh again. It was intoxicating. All the experience, it was like being under some kind of spell. Everything looked brighter. The grass felt like soft clouds and she closed her eyes.
When she opened them everything was gone, all the colors were now a sad shade of gray. She heard someone screaming and closed her eyes as hard as she could. When she opened them again she heard that same scream and saw a little girl hugging her knees looking up to her with the reddest puffy eyes she's ever seen. She tried to ask what was wrong but no words came out from her mouth. The pleading eyes of the little girl were screaming for help as loud as her actual screams. Olivia heard a whisper 'I'm all alone now'.
Olivia woke up with tears in her eyes. She remembered that little girl, it was her. The worst day of her short life. Three days after the Christmas of 1971. The day the best part of her died.
✧
That morning her first class was potions with Slughorn. She woke at four am. And was just very quiet in her bed pretending to sleep. Almost every morning Claudia would "wake her up".
Olivia met Claudia Higgs another Slytherin girl in her second year. Claudia was one of the few Slytherins Olivia liked. Same as her, many family generations were in Slytherin, yes she wasn't part of the sacred 28 but at least Olivia's parents were 'happy' to know her only daughter wasn't befriending the wrong kind.
Claudia was nice-ish, and like many Slytherin raised children she was raised to believe in blood purity and yet she couldn't care less. Olivia knew this almost from the first moment they met and felt like telling her she didn't care either but she was too hurt, too broken, and had no one so she just kept pretending.
