He watched her storm out of the room, every step hitting the ground with a stomp that he was surprised wasn't heard, although he felt every vibration within him. He knew her dad wouldn't be open, that he would shut her down faster than anyone. He tried to warn her, but he couldn't bear to see the look in her eyes, the hurt that was behind their depths, so he didn't push the issue. Maybe, he should have though, because that anger was coming off in waves and he felt sorry for anyone that crossed her path.

He so badly wanted to follow her, to soothe her, to give her a part of what she was denied, but as soon as he crossed in front of the doorway, Carlo stopped him and told him to come in. He battled with himself because he wanted to comfort her, but he couldn't keep the boss waiting. Not when he had to talk to him, and Adriano knew that Carlo already knew what was going on. All vehicles, sadly his included, had tracking devices on them, and Carlo monitored their locations rather closely.

"Yes, sir," Adriano said as he walked in and took the seat that Izzy had just left. In fact, it was still warm from her sitting there. He brought his ankle over his knee and watched as his boss rounded the desk and sat down. Lord have mercy, he could imagine the temper that Izzy flew in if her father stood up to talk to her. He admired Carlo, and looked up to the man, not just because he lead smartly and with a tight fist but also because he knew the business. He knew what worked and didn't work, what deals were solid or ones that would fail him.

But here recently, concerning how Carlo was acting and treating his daughter, he was having issues keeping that admiration. Carlo was treating Ignazia like Sara, like stepping up to her would make her back down. Adriano was starting to see that the man knew jack shit about his eldest daughter. And personally, Adriano was finding a problem with that. Not that he knew Izzy all that well, minus a few things, but he was smart enough at least to not use certain tactics with the woman. Like she didn't like to be manhandled or browbeaten, which he was going to assume was the case here. Which made him long all the more to follow her and fix whatever fucking shit happened in here just moments ago.

"Want to tell me what happened?"

"We were followed. I had the meeting and when we left, she saw a car that didn't quite belong. It was following us for a bit but then I managed to lose them in the business district, or at least I thought I did. They almost t-boned us had I not seen them coming and managed to speed up. I did some quick maneuvers after that and waited in the garage for a little bit, only leaving once I never heard from them."

"You think they tracked you?" Carlo asked as he thrummed his fingers slowly on the desk.

"No, because it would interfere with your own trackers, which I know you have. You monitored my little hazard turns well enough." Carlo chuckled at that.

"I did, but you weren't a huge concern to me. I was merely checking on you to make sure nothing happened after the meeting. I saw you left and only checked once more in one of those twists, which I knew something was up." Carlo cleared his throat and shook his head. "So, if they don't have a tracker, because you would be right, how did they know where you were?"

"Carlo, boss, are you sure there isn't someone within your family that would be after her?" Adriano asked. He wasn't implying any siblings, but someone had to know something.

"You mean Sara?" Carlo asked as he raised his brow. "Never. She's a spoiled brat, that I won't deny, and I am sorry for letting it go as I have, but she wouldn't be behind this. Honestly, she views everything in life by what she can gain. Getting rid of Ignazia wouldn't gain her anything other than a death sentence on her own head, she knows this. I don't take kindly to my children beating each other up simply because one is unhappy."
