Chapter 26: The Lemurian Star

Evander's Pov

(Indian Ocean)

After some hours flying in the quinjet we're ten minutes away from being near the Lemurian Star as an S.H.I.E.L.D agent by the name of Rumlow was giving me, Natasha, Steve, and his S.T.R.I.K.E. team an update on the situation.

Rumlow: Target is a mobile satellite launch platform, the Lemurian Star. They were sending up their last payload when pirates took them, ninety three minutes ago.

Steve: Any demands?

Rumlow: Billion and a half.

Steve: Why so steep?

Rumlow: because it's S.H.I.E.L.D.'s.

Evander: And plus their pirates so their demands will be very expensive. And plus it's trespassing.

Natasha: I'm sure they have a good reason.

Steve: You know, I'm getting a little tired of being Fury's janitor.

Evander: me too and I'm not getting paid for this.

Natasha: Relax boys. It's not that complicated.

Evander: It is.

Steve: How many pirates? 

Rumlow: Twenty five. Top mercs led by this guy. Georges Batroc. Ex-DGSE, Action Divison. He's at the top of Interpol's Red Notice. Before the French demobilized him, he had thirty six kill missions. This guy's got a rep for maximum caualites.

Evander: Dealt with worst people than him. More like electrical people....

Steve: *chuckles* Hostages? 

Rumlow: Mostly techs. One officer Jasper Sitwell. They're in the galley.

Evander: Well he better sit well when we get him. *chuckles*

Steve: *shakes his head* Alright, Shadow Spider you an I are going to sweep the deck and find Batroc. Nat, you kill the engines and wait for instructions. Rumlow, you sweep aft, find the hostages, get them to the life-pods, get them out. Let's move.

Rumlow: S.T.R.I.K.E., you heard the Cap. Gear up.

I looked at the S.T.R.I.K.E. team getting geared up as Steve walked over to me and Natasha.

Steve: Secure channel seven.

Natasha: Seven secure.

Evander: Mhm.

Natasha: *looks at Steve* Did you do anything fun Saturday night? 

Steve: Well, all the guys from my barbershop quartet are dead. So, no, not really. 

Pilot: Coming up on the drop zone, Cap.

Steve soon hit the button that lowered the ramp.

Natasha: You know, if you ask Kristen out, from Statistics, she'd probably say yes. and Shadow are you dating someone?

Evander: Yup, and she's a good person.

Steve: That's why I don;t ask. 

Natasha: Too shy, or too scared?

Steve: Too busy!

Steve then jumps out of the jet.

S.T.R.I.K.E. Member: Was he wearing a parachute? 

Rumlow: *smiles* No. No, he wasn't.

Evander: *crack my neck* Alright here I do.

Right before I could jump out of the jet Natasha stops me.

Natasha: Don't do anything stupid.

Evander: *smirks* Oh come on being stupid is in my job description.

I jumped out of the of the jet and started free flying and as I got close to the water I open a portal and fly right into it as another opens up on the ship as I crawled out and used my camouflage as I saw that Steve made it on to the ship and saw him knocked out one guard as I shot a web at the other and pulled him to me where I punched him serveal times and webs him to the ground as I deactivated my camouflage.

Steve: Nice job kid. You go left and I'll go right and we'll meet up at the middle of the ship.

Evander: Aye aye Captain.

I activated my camouflage and went to the left and started taking the pirates out quickly and quietly. I soon made it to the middle of the ship as I do a front flip and lands ontop of a pirate and knocked him out. Deactivating my camouflage and started beating down the pirates as I took out all but one of them as the last one was pointing the gun at me in which I didn't as he got shot by Rumlow.

Evander: Thanks.

Rumlow: My pleasure Shadow Spider.

Steve soon runs in and sees what happened.

Steve: Good job.

Evander: Eh it was nothing.

Soon everyone else soon landed onto the ship as Natasha soon started walking with me and Steve.

Natasha: What about the nurse that lives across the hall from you? She seems kind of nice. 

Steve: Secure the engine room, then find me a date. 

Natasha: I'm multitasking. *jumps off a rail*

While Rumlow and his men went after the hostages and Natasha was securing the engine room; me and Steve was still looking for Batroc as after a few minutes we found him and gave chase as he started to attack was mostly Steve as I dodges his hits.

Evander: You want to take this one Cap?

Steve: Yeah, I do.

I soon sat down and watched Steve and Batroc fought and Steve had the upper hand as he rammed Batroc through a door as I get up and follow them  into the room as he knocks Batroc out and we saw Natasha in the room.

Natasha: Well this is awkward.

Steve: What are you doing? 

Natasha: Backing up the hard drive. It's a good habit to get into.

Evander: *shakes my head* 

Steve: Rumlow needed you help. What the hell are you doing here? 

I looked at the screen as she was saving S.H.I.E.L.D. intel.

Evander: She's saving S.H.I.E.L.D. intel. 

Natasha: Whatever I can get my hands on. 

Steve: Our mission is to rescue hostages. 

Natasha: No that's your mission, and you've done it beautifully. *grabs a hard drive*

Steve: You just jeopardized this whole operation. 

Natasha: I think that's overstating things.

My spider sense went off I saw Batroc throws a grenade at us as Steve knock it back away and grabbed Natasha and crashed through a window, I open  a portal and quickly jumps into it as the grenade went off. I open another portal and jumps out to see the room is destroyed and Batroc was gone as I cursed to myself and saw that Steve and Natasha leaves the room as I followed.

3rd Pov

(In an unknown location)

There was a man talking to a person as they was gearing up for something. 

???: Do you know what your mission is?

???#2: Yeah to kill the Shadow Spider and kill everyone else. That's all I was fucking made for asshole.

???: Do get smart with me Spider, just do your job or else. Hail, HYDRA. 

Spider: Yeah yeah hail HYDRA.

The person now named the spider put on their mask as their logo started to light up.
