The Great Reset: The world has been reset by a series of earthquakes that cause floods, land sinking, and civilization being killed.

The Dry Age 19: 19 years after all water ran out and all that is left is the lake that is patrolled by the government

The year was reset by the government after the water ran out and both sides use the same time!

The last real date before the chaos is unknown.

Each day is called a Click. The days are randomly short or long; with some clicks being minutes long. Clicks restart at the start of each cycle(once the sun is covered by the moon). Some cycles last a full "year" while others are days long.

It is one of the most inconsistent things in the new world with different areas/people seeing different sunsets. No one knows how many clicks have really passed, but everyone resets their clicks when the sun is swallowed by the sun.

The Nightmare

A parallel world that is only accessed through dreams. You get a new identity and past.

All newborns are given a finger prick that places some drug into their blood. When the child reaches the age of 10, something activates it and they are considered "new blood". Sometimes there are younger kids who they test it on.

The drug was given out to children about five years after the end of the world; so adults didn't get it until later. But it was about 0007 when it was opening given.

At first, when you wake, you believe the other world was only a "dream". After a few weeks, you begin to realize there is more going on.

You may realize what is happening in one world, but when you wake you do not know if it was real or a dream

If you die in one world, then you are reborn into the next. Once you have the finger prick, then you are reborn. If not, then you die like normal.

If you are injured in one world, wounds show into the other when you wake. Bandages are removed when you wake and if the wound is not healed, then you must tend to it when you get up.

All water has run out in Nine Zone's and only the Lake is left, but it is also running out. Only a few years left.

If you are siblings in one world, then you are (half)siblings in the other. Sometimes there is a glitch and you are not.

Government will hunt down and kill your other self if you get in trouble or need to control you.

Family is usually different. Also friends too. Or enemies.

If you are a shadow, then both self's are a shadow.

The Government in Nine made the finger prick(supposed to make people able to hold in water for longer and lower the need. Ended up getting a substance mixed in and caused the person to dream switch with another world) and sent people over to Earth to find water. The scientists also have realized that a few people are able to bring back objects from one world through dreamsThey discovered what they wanted and bribed the people of Earth to let them switch bodies for water to trade for a material that cured almost any sickness. But after a while the prick got a disease and only let people dream into the next world, not really be there. Now both Governments are trying to get more people in one project and you are given the prick at school(if you are older and want to take part, then you can come to a doctor). Now 5 years later the prick is randomly letting users switch bodies, but only for a short time, and only random people can. Those people are the only ones who fully remember what happened in the other world, but if they don't switch back, then it fades.
