Tails keeping the fact that Sonic couldn't ever change back again permanently a secret was way easier said than done.

"Sonic, I'm really sorry this happened to you!" Amy said as she walked in the house. "You wanna go somewhere to make you feel better?"

His stomach sank as soon as he heard this.

She knew.

And all because of...

"TAILS!"

"Yeah, Sonic?" the young fox asked.

"Why?! Why did you have to tell her?!" He was freaking out, he couldn't help but freak out, period. "Now everyone's gonna know!"

"Look, she forced me to! She wouldn't stop asking me!"

"YOU WERE SUPPOSED TO KEEP THIS A SECRET!"

As the two continued their little "conversation", Amy sheepishly backed away and left, not wanting to get involved any further.

Well, this was really an act. What she was really going to do was...not important at the moment.

Tails's attempt to calm Sonic down lasted a bit longer. How long it actually was couldn't really be determined.

"Sonic, I'm sorry, there's no need to—"

"I HAVE EVERY RIGHT TO FREAK OUT!"

"Mr. Sonic? Is this true?"

It was Cream. Cheese and Chocola were with her, both sharing the same curious look she had.

"WHO TOLD YOU?!" both fox and Werehog shouted.

"Miss Amy did. She told me she was going to tell everyone about it."

"Chao chao," Cheese added.

Sonic's stomach sank again. No, plummeted. No, nosedived.

She was going to tell everyone.

"Leave."

"Sonic? This isn't normally like you to—"

"Just go." The Werehog sounded absolutely dead inside. "I can't deal with any of this right now, leave me alone."

Tails reluctantly obeyed, nudging Cream along.

Sonic, alone, just stood there, a shocked look plastered on his face, unchanging, still processing how deep in trouble he was in now.

Yet he didn't realize one of Eggman's minions recording him from the shadows...
