Yoongi's fingers were working fast on the laptop keys, his eyes glued on the time. He was hurrying because it was going to be the time for the favorite part of his day. Eunji was waiting for him.
"Done!!" shutting the laptop, he put aside all his stuff and left the room. Grabbing the flowers that he picked earlier this morning and trailed to Eunji's room.
"I am back..." exclaiming he got in.
Eunji was there, lying on the bed, swirled with saline pipes. The caretaker had just left after doing all her sanitary work. Yoongi reached to the vase and added the new flowers. "Look, I got these beautiful flowers for my beautiful wife" he chimed.
After he was done, Yoongi had himself comfortable on the bed. "You know wifey... I really miss you being around, all your stupid talks still run around my ears making me laugh" he sighed.
"I know you are tired of me, always coming her and disturbing your peace, but what can I do.. I have no one except for you" Yoongi muttered.
"Remember tomorrow is our Fifth anniversary... I am.. excited..." his voice broke. Soon a sting of pain groomed his heart and a knot formed in the stomach, making his vision blurry.
"Yesterday your father came to visit, he wanted to take you home. He said that I shouldn't waste my time on you and move on..."
"But even I cleared it to him, that you are my responsibility now. Only I am the one to look after you.." he muffled between his tears.
"Everyone is saying that I should give up on you, but why don't they understand that you will return back to me one day" Yoongi intertwined his fingers with hers. All these years taking care of Eunji, had brought a huge change in Yoongi's behavior. The once cold and emotionless person had turned so clingy and lovesick.
"Why don't you wake-up, are you so upset with me. You can give me any punishment you want but your silence is killing me now.." he broke into heavy sobs, holding her palm close to his heart.
"Just open your eyes once. We'll celebrate our anniversary. Go for a movie, dinner and even shopping"
"I'll buy you anything you wish and do what you ask..."
"But just wake-up for me ..." he broke in tears as his heart clinched with a blunder of pain. How much he tried to keep up with his smile, but no one could feel the pain he was hiding.
After a trail of long years, Yoongi cried again, he couldn't hold the agony of his efforts going in vain. And the fear of her father taking Eunji away from him. Just like that he fell asleep, holding Eunji's hand.
