"That Sondred that used his magic to fight against the demons during the buried age?" Karlplate asked confused

Maia nodded.

She had been listening to the stories her grandfather told her as a child, now she was able to finally learn some of the history for herself. She looked back through her own knowledge of the ancient era to compare her thoughts and feelings with what she had learned from her grandfather.

As she wondered about what she had read so far, she saw some details that were familiar to her, but there was always more that was unknown, and there was always so much that was just missing.

"But, why is he here?" Asked Luth

"I wonder that too" Answered Maia.

On the table next to the skeleton of Sondred laid a diary, one from which Maia came to know that it was indeed Sondred that died here. There were several pages with scribblings that were quite easy to read even by her standards.

'I am dying' Was written on the first page of the diary, but further down it continued with 'but I will die with the name that is my own'. Maia read out the contents of the diary to her comrades.

"I had made grave mistakes, maybe I had been blinded; Complacent. But, it's far too late for me to fix this."

"I am injured, beyond my ability to recover. And, my flame is most but out." The writing trailed in a difficult to read fashion, one that even Maia struggled with.

"I leave with you, those who've reached here- The chance to fix what I failed to prevent. Deep in the library, hidden behind the lost flame lies your door to the past." Afterwards another line written in an ancient tongue was written.

"So, we're supposed to look for this hidden chamber?" Asked Karlplate

"I'm sure there's plenty of riches there" Luth chuckled

"We can also look for it" Plagia turned to Maia and smiled

Everyone in the group came to adventure here for different reasons. Karlplate sought some wealth alongside Luth who also wanted an adventure. Plagia was the only one who's reasons for travelling to Longar were not known to the other members. As for herself, Maia wished to get some answers to questions that had been nagging at her for years. She hoped that in this place, she could find some answers. She hoped that by doing so, she would be able to return home, and continue her journey to find out more about the Buried Age as well as her family history.

They walked around the library, looking around every nook and cranny. The dust was thick enough to obscure the title of many age old books that resided in this place. It was a miracle that the entire place wasn't made out of cobwebs. But, the library consisted of two floors; It was surprisingly sprawling place, it certainly didn't exceed the royal libraries or any of the major Academia. Regardless, Maia stood impressed that such a place could house such abundant knowledge, in the middle of what most would regard as "nowhere". Karlplate and Luth themselves also were impressed that the place hadn't collapsed in on itself, Karlplate especially taking notice to the pristine condition of the wooden pillars keeping the ceiling in its place. The walls themselves were lined in with cobblestone and wood. There were magical lights around every corner, each shelf illuminated to be easily seen, if not for the dust covering the books on them.

"I should ask Maia if any of these books would be worth bringing back." Karlplate spoke

"What if she says you're not allowed to take any book?" Asked Luth

"I'm sure she wouldn't do that."

Plagia's voice began to resonate

"Maia said that she would like to read the books here! Make sure not to take any!"
