chapter 21

The next day goes in blink of eye of jimin would say even though a lot things happened. He didn't  have much time. He only got a little glimpse of taehyung in the morning, and rightafter then Mr.kim called him to the office he had in the mansion.
It wasn't for anything the elder man only summoned him to give his salary for that month. Jimin always felt so giddy whenever he claimed his salary, and his body jerked up in excitement when Mr. Kim announced that he could go home today or take a day free.

He bowed his entire body, showing respect to the man in front of him while making his way out, only to get stopped by Mr. Kim.
" I hope you will stay longer here and be a constant in my son's life because he's changing for good. "

jimin turned back instantly,  for the first time in his life. Instead of sharp and firm expression, he saw a gentle look with an expecting face on Mr. Kim. His lips curled up into a soft smile.
Jimin knows that taehyung and his father never had a great bond. He can guess the reason by the story namjoon had told him. He never for once saw that these two interacted.

Without knowing what else to do or say, he again bowed his head, leaving the room as soon as possible, and directly went to his house. The latter was feeling so down. The encounter with taehyung yesterday and when the taller asked him to leave just like that and Mr. Kim's odd behavior, Everything was really taking a toll on him. He doesn't know why, but he felt a little suffocated from everything that was going around him.
The boy breathed out a sigh and took out his phone informing his father that he was coming home. A sweet smile adorned on his soft face, hearing his father really shouting on the other side in excitement.
  Soon, he reached his home, and his skin tingled by seeing his home after a long time. He breathed in relief and practically ran to the door, entering without knocking only to his lungs to be filled with the aroma of his favorite food, which made him all giddy.
He ran towards the kitchen and chuckled at the scene where his dad teasing his mom who was too busy in making jimin's favorite food and scolding his father to freshened up who seemed to be just got home.
Jimin cleared his throat, letting him know to the over flirtatious couple his presence.

" JIMIN- ah!!".

His father shouted in dramatic voice and engulfed him in a bone cracking hug, which made jimin whine over his father's childishness.
" yah!! Let him goo you are suffocating him. "
He heard his mom's voice soon, and his father released, which made him breathe in relief. His mother smiled fondly at him.

" Come on buttercup, let's eat, don't mind your father."
He nodded his head, following his mother, who was walking too carefully than normal  which made him confused. He decided to let it go and started to help his parents.
Then he saw his father being extra careful towards his wife. Now, he has really started to doubt that something is really wrong with his mom. His heart started to beating faster in anticipation that something was wrong with her.

" Mom!, are you okay?!".

His father faced him and smiled so warmly and said.

" There is nothing wrong jimin-ah".

"Yah!!.. why are still not telling him.. you told me you want to say it in person, now see, he is right in front of you. "

His mother nudged his father on the side, which made him yelped in pain.

"Yeah.. jimin-ah, first sit down. We can talk while eating."
His father sheepishly said, scratching his head. Jimin narrowed his eyes at both of them and really felt dumbfounded when he saw his mother's flushed cheeks.
He started to eat the food that served before him slowly waiting for his parents to speak. He heard his father clearing his throat.

" jimin-ah, your mom is pregnant."

Jimin's eyes widened at that.

" What?!"

He asked almost shouting and instantly regretted when he saw his mother's face falling slowly.
It's not that he is not happy or anything it's just that he is just shocked. He heard that his mother can't get pregnant due to some hormones problem and they consulted many doctors through the years and the result was hopless that eventually they stopped trying but his mother was happy since she had jimin, she never ever thought of jimin as not her biological son. Always cared for him like her own son or more.
He held her hand across the table, caressing with his thumb softly.

" Mom, congratulations! I'm really happy that after all these years, I'm going to get a younger sibling. "

He smiled brightly that his eyes turned crescents, which made the other two smile at him back.
His father laughed heartily and said ,
"Everything was a miracle. Even the doctors were surprised, but after running some tests, he told us to be careful even when just walking since it is a complicated pregnancy. "

Jimin nodded at him, understanding the situation. He was so happy, especially for his mom. He took out his phone and texted hobi this happy news and his friends group.
The doorbell ringed, indicating that someone was at the door, which made jimin stop whatever he was doing and looked at his father, who stood up and wiping his mouth.
He looked at jimin and smiled.

"I forgot to tell you, I also invited taehyung since you know he is also like my own son."
Jimin's mouth was wide opened like a fish. The only thing in his mind was taehyung is here and he can feel the nervousness creeping onto his body. After the little encounter with older he don't know how to face him or does he want to see him, but somewhere in his mind, the tiniest part of mind is somehow a little excited to hear that taehyung is hear.
Jimin immediately denied that and cursed himself for being silly. But soon everything went to in a halt, when he heard a very familiar deep voice greeting his father.
His mother also stood up and greeted taehyung who just entered the dining hall and guided him to one of the seat which he took gladly and muttered a low thank you. Jimin finally looked up from his plate and saw taehyung sitting in the chair right infront of him across the table.
He knows that taehyung is looking at him and that made him really uncomfortable that he started to squirm under the table and looked up at taehyung's face who was already looking at him. Jimin felt his heartbeat picked up at a familiar pace, which no more concerns jimin. Since he knows the reason and he really doesn't have any intention to hurt himself by hoping something that is never gonna be his, no matter what. Taehyung saw how Jimin's face fell, and he really wanted to know the reason why, but again, he just can't bring himself to admit that he really care about jimin.
