Wednesday POV:
Tyler was better after watching Bratz. He had calmed down plenty by the time we hit the sack. I was very cold, even under my sheet, fleece blanket, weighted blanket number one, comforter, and weighted blanket number two. I like to feel like I'm being suffocated while I sleep. I decided to stand up. School starts in two days, so a walk through the woods while I can shouldn't hurt.
I threw on some sweatpants and a sweatshirt, then walked over to the door to get my boots. I grabbed Thing and put my flashlight in my backpack. That's when I heard a camera. A dark figure stood in front of Enid's side of the window. The camera flashed again and they were gone.
I raced through the window, through a door, down a staircase, and into the woods. Then the figure hopped onto a bike. I couldn't tell the color. They sped through the woods. I was running at lightning speed, but couldn't keep up and stopped outside so Jericho.
I hope that the Sheriff was working the late shift. I jogged to the Police Station. Sheriff Galpin wasn't there, but his deputy Santiago was. She was just closing up when I made over.
"Wait!" I yelled, slightly out of breath. "I need your help!"
"Is that Wednesday Addams I hear?" She asked. "What is it, Miss. Addams? I need to get home."
"That person who just rode by on a bike, was in my room. He sent me photos on a phone that Xavier bought me. I need a car to chase him down." I said between breaths.
"Alright. Get in," she responded. "Before they're gone."
The bike had just turned down the next street. Santiago sped up, and soon we were going sixty-five miles an hour down a heavily populated street in the middle of the night. Very safe indeed. We got within ten feet of the mysterious vigilante when a giant dragon came flying overhead of us. Yes. A dragon. It didn't do anything but distract us, and the last thing I saw was something flying out of the strange person's pocket. The dragon roared up ahead, causing us to slow down. We got out of the car to see the dragon, but nothing was there. The sky was empty. I turned back to the car to see the dragon staring at us through the rearview mirror. I turned around but it was gone.
Santiago drove me back to Nevermore, and I climbed to my window and back into bed. There was a buzz from under my pillow. I looked at my phone, just to see that I had multiple new messages from an unknown contact. I opened it up. I saw a photo of me tossing and turning under my concrete-like blanket horde, one of me putting Thing in my backpack, a one of me walking towards the strange person. Then a few texts popped up:
Stalker: Did you enjoy that midnight run?
Stalker: I did.
Stalker: You might think that you chased me away. But I will come back. You'll see.
Stalker: I'm closer than you think 💀
That last text made me nervous. I couldn't let my secret stalker know that, though.
Me: That dragon was pretty cool 😎
Me: But I will find you.
I even added a tiny picture. I looked at the clock. It was five AM. Three more hours of sleep couldn't hurt. 'Sweet Nightmares' I told myself as I dosed off into a restless slumber.
