the sound of sneakers squeaking is heard throughout the high school gymnasium.

patiently, you wait for the game to start. usually you wouldn't go to school events, but your boyfriend is on the basketball team you decided to go.

the only problem is that you and hyucks relationship isn't exactly public.

you haven't told your friends and family, and vice versa. you don't understand why exactly he wanted to keep it secret but it is what it is.

you watch closely as you see the "dream team" warmup. you see your boyfriend heading to the lockers to refill the water bottles.

you quickly get up from your seat, following secretly. the two of you don't talk in school, making it even harder for people to even consider the relationship between the both of you.

carefully stepping down the steps and into the locker room, you notice that it's empty besides your boyfriend.

you sneak behind him, covering his eyes from behind him.

"boo?" you let out as more of a question.

he turned around, amused at your comment.

"boo? really? you gotta work on your scaring tactics," he said. "you came to the game?"

"of course i did. first you're my boyfriend, and this is important to you. what's important to you is important to me" you finish with a smile, putting your hands on his chest.

"god i love you" he sighs happily, grabbing onto your hands.

"there's nobody in the locker room, and since warmups are happening nobody else will be..." he says in a suggestive tone, glancing down to meet your eyes.

"no!" you nervously let out, slightly pushing him away.

of course, that did nothing. if anything it provoked him more, as he pulled you even closer so your face was resting against his chest.

"can you come over to my place after?" he whispers gently.

"i think so," you respond just as gently.

"okay i gotta go, it smells like boy in here. good luck love" you tell him.

he lightly grabbed your face, leaning in for a passionate yet gently kiss. after you broke it, smiled, watching as you walk away.

as you walk to the bleachers, you notice your childhood friend in the stands.

"yuta! thank you for coming, i didn't think you'd actually show up" you say sarcastically but gratefully, having a seat next to him.

"i mean you kind of begged me so it's not like i have a choice. why do you even want to be here, you've never shown interest in school sports" he questioned, knowing something was up.

despite how close you are with him, you haven't told him about hyuck. you didn't want to break your promise with him by telling anyone.

trying not to sound suspicious, you replied "well sometimes people change. im just curious to see how this works and you know sports so you know this."

he raises an eyebrow, not believing you but deciding to drop it.

you truly were happy he showed up, not wanting to be confused the entire game. you've always seen him as an older brother, him treating you like a younger sister. after he got his girlfriend, you and her became close as well.

you watch as he looks in the crowd, watching him furrow his eyebrows as he spots someone specific in the crowd.

"didn't know haechan was on the team, he hasn't been kicked off yet for shitty temper?" he lets out bitterly.
