A couple of days later, Sadie returns to work. She and Bella get dressed in their bathroom in the early afternoon. Sadie makes her own hours, so whenever they wake up naturally is when Sadie goes to work. Bella always gets turned on seeing Sadie put her 'uniform' on.
"Maybe you're not ready to go back to work?" Bella smirks, grabbing the redhead by her suspenders.
"Cara mia, I would stay home longer if I could. Unfortunately, some things I have to handle myself," she explains.
"I know," Bella says, "I love you."
"I love you too," Sadie kisses her on the lips.
"Before you go, I have a question," the brunette tells her.
"Yes, Darling?"
"Will you teach me how to shoot a gun?" she asks. Sadie's expression goes blank.
"What?"
"For protection," Bella adds. Sadie frowns.
"Darling, don't take this the wrong way, but I don't like the idea of you a gun," Sadie says. Bella frowns.
"Why not?"
"Remember the first interactions you had with me and guns?" she points out. The thought of guns and the damage they cause made her sick to her stomach, "You might get sick."
"Okay, but what if I overcame that fear?" Bella suggests.
"I don't know, Darling, I don't like the idea."
"Why not? It would be beneficial to me," the brunette says.
"Why don't I just hire a bodyguard instead?" Sadie offers, "Any girl of your choosing."
"Why don't you want me to have a gun?" Bella asks, "Do you think I would hurt someone?"
"Of course not, cara mia," Sadie defends, "It's just... dangerous."
"Yeah, dangerous to have one, dangerous to not have one. That's kind of my whole point," Bella exclaims, getting upset.
"Bella, I just... I don't feel comfortable with it."
"Okay, but you get to have the guns? And your men?" she questions, "What makes me so different?"
"Darling, I——"
"Do you seriously not trust me still?" Bella asks, "Do you think I'm going to like, leave you or something?"
"It's not that, I swear," Sadie exclaims.
"Then what, Sadie?"
"Bella, I——"
"Actually, let's just forget I said anything," Bella cuts her off. She leaves the bathroom.
"Bella!"
She storms out of the room. Jenna sits in the living room, watching a show.
"Hey, Bella," she greets. The brunette walks right past her and Sadie comes running out, "What did you do?"
Sadie sighs, letting her girlfriend go blow off steam.
"She wants me to teach her how to shoot a gun," Sadie explains.
"And I'm assuming you don't want to?" Jenna asks. The redhead nods, "Why not?"
"Because guns mean she's getting closer to business. And I want to keep her out of it," she explains, "she also threw up after the first gunfight that happened here."
"Did you tell her that?"
"I was going to," the mafia boss sighs, "But then she stormed out."
"Go handle things. I'll talk to her while you're gone," Jenna says.
