The next morning, I opened my eyes and felt an unaccustomed weight around my waist. I glanced over my shoulder to notice as my vision cleared, the black mask. Surprisingly, he was without his headband though.

I could barely believe this situation, and I was almost so astonished by it, I just about fell out of the bed. But I managed to keep myself calm and started to move away.

Still in his sleep, somehow, his grip tightened slightly and brought me back to where I was.

Oh, great. I thought. This wasn't good. It seemed that either I would have to wake him up or just wait until he did himself.

I turned over so now I was facing him, and said  softly, "Kakashi...wake up."

My lips pursed when I didn't receive any reaction. "Kakashi." I spoke a little louder. I was trying to do this as nice as possible.

This time I got a soft groan in response, though he still hadn't opened his eyes.

Different tactic... I thought before saying in the same volume of voice, "Kakashi, come on, it's time to wake up."

One black eye opened, the Sharingan eye staying closed, and he realized how close we actually were. He let go of me, moving away a little bit and then sat up.

He was scratching the back of his head nervously as he said, "Sorry about that."

I sat up as well, looking over at him and before I could actually think about what I was saying, I reassured, "It's no big deal, really."

"Well, it's not exactly appropriate for a student and their sensei." He spoke, returning my gaze now.

"I'm an adult, Kakashi...not one of your Genin." I refuted. Unknown to me, he was thinking to himself, Oh, I'm well aware of that.

"So, let's just handle this like two mature adults." I continued, "We can share the same bed without...complications."

He seemed to think a moment before nodding slightly, "All right."

I gave a small smile before getting up out of bed and announcing, "I'm going to make myself something to eat."

"I'll be in the shower." He said.

I left the room, just going into the kitchen and grabbing myself an apple to eat. Once I heard the water start, I figured it was safe to head back into the bedroom. I switched out of my clothes from yesterday, changing into black shorts and a grey tanktop.

I went to grab my weapons pouch from the bedside table and noticed something different. Kakashi had left his Make-Out Paradise volume on the bed.

For some reason, a couple pages were marked with sticky notes. Curious, I picked it up, flipping to one of the pages. I blinked a couple times, unsure if what I was seeing was the truth or not.

Once Kakashi had gotten out of the shower, coming out with a towel wrapped around his waist and as usual, his mask on. I almost forgot about my question as i saw even more of his muscles.

Snap out of it! I told myself before holding up the book and questioned, "Why is the female character's name crossed out and replaced with mine?"

The look on his face told me he must have been blushing underneath his mask. He came over, taking the book from me. "Well?" I encouraged as I looked him directly in the eye.

He scratched the back of his head once again, obviously not wanting to tell me. He sighed, sitting down next to me on the bed, and clasped his hands together.

"Michiko...I believe I'm developing feelings for you..." He admitted, "I know it's wrong. You being my student and I'm older than you. I understand if you don't-"

Before he could finish his sentence, I found myself cupping his cheek gently. "Kakashi." I spoke so he would listen. "I've felt the same for a while now...and at first I figured it was wrong, but it just feels so right being with you."

He looked into my eyes a second, contemplating my words. "Close your eyes." He said softly.

Surprised, I just listened to him, doing what he said.

Not long after, I felt a soft, light pressure on my lips and I realized with a shock that he was kissing me. I leaned into it, returning the kiss. This was just what I had dreamed of numerous times, and it was better than my fantasies. It was gentle and soft, yet underlying there was a passion.

I wanted to see his face, but I decided to respect his wishes and kept my eyes closed until he pulled away and pulled his mask back up.

I couldn't stop a genuine smile from reaching my lips and my arms wrapped around his neck to give him a hug.

It was a moment before he said, "While we don't have a problem with this, you know we'll have to keep this a secret from everyone, right?"

I pulled away far enough just to see him and nodded slightly, "All right. I figured something like that..."

He gave a closed eyed smile, and kissed my forehead through his mask.

That little sacrifice is definitely worth it. I had to think. Finally being with him, I wouldn't give it up for anything and I wasn't about to let anything get in between us.
