Today let us come to you smiling, with our millions of possible futures forking out into tomorrow, and let us ask that we may find peace and prosperity within your Holy grasp. Our lips are full of the holy word, Lord, and we grope desperately for the good days promised by your sacrifice. Days the prophets knew would someday come.
Strengthen our relationships, Lord, and hear our please as glorious psalms instead of pained cries of weakness. Let us serve you unswervingly and hear your response reach us like golden rays in a season of bountiful harvest. The wearing times grind on our bones and threaten to deliver us unto evil—but we won't allow it! Financial troubles and spiritual bankruptcy alike are no match for your awesome justice. These obstacles are the lowest stumbling blocks for us, because we know you persist and sustain beyond the mere material, and nourish our hearts where suffering cannot enter. We entreat you only for what has been promised—your everlasting, unending love.
Not one out of the millions of tomorrows will be filled with pain.
