Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.

O Holy Christ,
We come alive in you. We brighten at your utterances, blossom into what you need us to be. You have brightened our hearts and imprinted onto our faulty wiring a culture of compassion. We praise your generosity, for you have bestowed upon us a generous spirit in your own image. You are great! Alone, left to our own devices, we can follow in your footsteps. The path has been
Generosity and goodwill rely on you for proliferation and you alone. We are mere recipients of the goodness you give. May you help us become better receptacles for your virtuous compassion. I confess that I am sometimes hollow, irresponsible, unforgiving. I let the pettiness of life trump what really matters most: serving you and our common man. Give me eyes to see what truly matters, Lord!
Because on those occasions where I am able to see clearly I am able to love and care for others without fear of rejection nor desperate hope for any worldly reward. Work done in your name is holy in its own right, and needs nothing else to supplement its infinite virtue.
