kids are annoying.

i'll never understand how mom and dad managed to control four of us.

we had managed to get back to the forest.

while we were there, i found someone.

someone i could spend the rest of life with.

we ended up adopting two kids as well.

Azu'li and Liläk.

a boy and a girl.

they were twins, both seven years old. (when ya'll adopted em they were like five)

about three months ago, we adopted a newborn girl, kayri.

they were all a handful.

"AHH! MOMMY! AZU'LI'S CHASING ME WITH A STICK!" i heard liläk scream as she began running towards me.

azu'li showed up behind her, stopping as he noticed me.

liläk ran behind me, peeking over at her twin brother.

he dropped the stick and stepped back a little.

"azu'li, why?" i asked him, tired from having to deal with his energy.

"i just wanted to play." he said shyly, hiding the stick behind his back.

"kiri!" y/n said, running over to us, little kayri in her arms.

"i've got to out for a small hunt. i'll be back at eclipse but before then i need you to take kayri." she said.

i turned to liläk, who was still behind me and bent down to her small level.

"how about, you and azu'li go out and play." i said.

"alone?" she questioned.

"only if you promise you stay somewhere safe, somewhere where theres no animals. and be home before eclipse, okay?" i asked.

she smiled and nodded her head vigorously.

she ran past me, grabbing azu'lis arm and running out.

i stood up to my full height, turning to y/n.

she handed me kayri immediately.

i looked down at her as she smiled at me.

"y/n, please be safe." i said, turning back to y/n.

"i will, don't worry baby." she said, stepping forward and placing her lips against mine.

she pulled away five seconds later and smiled.

"i love you so much." she said sweetly as she smiled.

"i love you too." i smiled back.

"y/n!" someone who i assumed was from her hunting group called.

"i'll be safe. i promise." she claimed as she turned her back to grab her bow.

before she left she turned around and quickly kissed my cheek, running out.
