your pov:

i ran around the forest, all alone.

i jumped through the rocks and plants until i noticed other na'vi kids playing near me.

i crouched down behind a large rock and peeked around it.

they didn't look much older than me.

at first, i thought it was only them. that was until i saw someone who definitely didn't look like a na'vi. it was a sky person.

why did they have one of the sky people? weren't they sent back to their planet ten years ago?

"y/n!" i heard somebody call out.

i turned my head, quickly scanning the area behind me before checking if the others had heard that.

they didn't.

i got up from my spot and sprinted off into the plants.

just as i had checked behind me, i ran into somebody.

i backed up a little after, looking up to see who it was.

it was my mother.

"eveng, what are you doing here?" she asked, leaning down to my level.

"n-nothing. i was just exploring." i say.

"okay, well, come on, let's go. your brother was looking for you." she stood up to her full height, taking my hand and leading me back home.

i didn't have much friends for plenty of reasons.

one, i like to do my own thing with nobody else involved. two, i keep to myself. and three, i prefer plants over people.

i spent most of my time sitting behind the same large rock every other day, watching the kids i noticed two years ago play.

i had noticed there was a new one. she looked to be around five years old and would cling to the oldest one, who looked about a year older than the other two.

i still knew none of their names.

they also hadn't noticed me yet.

the sky person was gone, too. i don't know where he went.

i was watching them when the sky person suddenly appeared out of nowhere. he hissed at one of them. i couldn't tell which one.

then, i noticed a beetle crawl by next to me. its shell was full of colours.

it distracted me from them for a little while.

just enough time for the sky person to sneak up to me and scare me.

"boo!" he said into my ear as i shrieked and accidentally hopped into the other kids vision.

i quickly hissed at him as he ran off.
