Sanemi Shinezugawa

1 year later

It's been one year since Toyo had become a Hashira in the demon slayer corps,everybody accepted him except for one person.Sanemi Shinezugawa,the angry man didn't like him too much for some unknown reason.maybe it was his own hate?or maybe it was just him getting praised by the master?Toyo didn't know.but he wanted to make nice with him.

A long time ago

Sanemi and his little brother Genya were not the closest as of present time,they never spoke at all since their tragic past.

Their mother was a small woman and worked herself to the bone for her children,she was beautiful.

Their father was a dead beat and would usually come home to beat his wife or children.the Shinezugawa family was made of two parents and about 5 children.

The woman would protect the children from their father despite her small frame.she always put them first.

Once their father died,they had nobody to bring enough money into the house.

Sanemi:hey Genya.it's a relief our fathers dead but there's nobody to support this place.from now on we will protect the family.

Genya:yeah!

They lived happy with their mother,even if that meant going to bed hungry.

One night Genya and his siblings were waiting for their mother and eldest brother to arrive home but they were unusually late.

The children kept asking Genya where they were but he couldn't formulate a for sure response.

KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK!

Knocking was heard at the door and one of the children went to open it

Genya:Wait we don't know if that's mom!

BAM!

The door bursted open and Sanemi came tumbling in.an additional person came in too.

Whatever the other thing was Genya assumed it was a wolf,it killed all of their siblings by slashing their throat,spilling blood all over Genyas face.

The creature was about to pounce on Genya but Sanemi tackled it away from him and fought the being outside.

Once Genya regained his footing he went outside to find a horrifying sight.

Sanemi was standing over their mothers body,axe in hand.

He had a dead look in his eyes and stared at the body.Genya was a young boy at the time,and didn't know what was happening.

Genya:MOM!WHY DID YOU KILL MOM!?MURDERER!

Sanemi only stared at him in guilt,he was very effected by his words and just told him to follow him.

After that day Sanemi turned into a very angry person,hellbent on murdering all demons.he even rejected his own brother.

Sanemi:I have no brother.scum like you could never be my brother.

Genya has wanted to apologize after learning the truth of that night,but never got a chance due to his brother not wanting anything to do with him.

They drifted apart.

Present

The hashira we're currently met at Toyos mansion for some joint training.as of now they were all sparring against each other in Toyos Dojo,Sanemi was overly aggressive while fighting the others and usually came out on top against most.

The rounds went as shown:

Rengoku vs Giyu

Giyu vs shinobu(was beaten by harsh words)

Rengoku vs Tokito

Shinobu vs Mitsuri

Mitsuri vs iguro(iguro was hoping to be leg locked)

And the current match was shinobu and Toyo.she looked at the man like he was crazy,a sword vs bare hands.

Shinobu:I don't think this is safe,Toyo-San.

Toyo:aw come on shorty,I won't let you hit me.

That struck a nerve somewhere in Shinobu and she dashed forward trying to get in a thrust.before she knew it Toyo had already grabbed her sword and disarmed her.

Shinobu:How th-

She was pinned on the ground a little bit roughly.

Toyo:was that too hard?I apologize.

Shinobu:it's ok.may I study you after this is over?

Toyo smirked

Toyo:what kinda studies sweetheart?

SLAP!

Shinobu:pervert.I wanted to see what makes you able to grab a sword like that.

Toyo:alright then.

The next match was Uzui and Toyo,a match between Friends.

Uzui:I wanna do this,bare handed.it's even ground for both of us.

Toyo:we'll see.

Uzui dashed forward and attempted a kick but Toyo was only grazed on the chin.small amounts of blood were coming out of his chin,Toyo continued to dodge his attacks with ease,until Uzui baited him with his right arm and landed a left hook.

Toyo:nice!

Toyo sweeper him off his feet and punched him in the gut,making him throw up on the floor.

Toyo:Aw come on man not my floor!

Uzui:sorry.*cough*you hit hard.

Toyo:that isn't even my full po-

BAM!

Toyo was pushed through one of the soft sun cover walls and fell on the floor.when he looked up he saw the scarred face of Sanemi Shinezugawa with an rage filled expression on his face.

Sanemi:stand up!fight me!no holding back you cocky prick!nobodies seen your true power huh?!WELL SHOW IT TO ME!

Toyo stood up and looked at the man.

Uzui:hey coo-

Toyo:it's fine.let's go,one round is all you get.

Shinezugawa smiled like a mad man and moved in to punch the man.Toyo let the blow hit him and didn't move him anyway shape or form.

Toyo:you want full strength?

BOOM!

He punched the man in the gut,a large shockwave erupted and Shinezugawa went flying a few feet in the air.

The shockwave was so destructive a few trees in the backyard feel down.

Everybody stared at the man in shock.they all thought the same thing,how the hell could a man do that?

Toyo:that was about 10% of my power,my current power.I didn't want to do that Sanemi.

It was no use at this point,he was talking to an unconscious body.

Toyo:you might want to treat him kocho,I've broken 5 of his ribs.

Shinobu looked horrified but nodded.

Toyo:that's enough for today.I'll see u guys later.

That was the last time Shinezugawa ever tried to fight him.
