Gon's POV*

It was a week since going to the diner. I haven't gotten the courage to text Killua. I was scared he wouldn't replay anyways. It was 7am in the morning, getting up for school. I picked up my phone and saw a message in the group.

Science Project 📄📌✏️

Pikachu🌟: When are we meeting up today?

Le-Oreo🍪: After school, we can go to the shake place same time as last time?

Me: Yes! Sounds delicious!!!🍦

Killua🦋: Sure.

Le-Oreo🍪: So the party next week are you all still down?

Me: I gave it some thought and I haven't been to a high school party before so I'm in!"

Pikachu🌟: only if you're going Leorio...☺️

Killua🦋: gag.

Me: Are you coming Killua??

I didn't get a response from him which was kinda upsetting. I sighed throwing my phone on my bed. I walked over to my closet and grabbed a coral colored hoodie, some black sweats and some socks. I didn't feel like dressing up today because it was Monday. I huffed scooping my phone back up and headed to the bathroom to brush my teeth and hair. Once I finished I walked down to the kitchen, seeing my Aunt with some jam toast and coffee.

"For you." She said pushing over a plate and a coffee mug.

I took a sip of the hot coffee after taking a bite of my toast.

"Thanks." I muttered.

"Going out again after school for your project?" She asks sipping her coffee.

"Yeah. I also was meaning to ask..." I got hesitant, I didn't want her to say no to the party so I came up the a little lie.

"Um, next weekend on Friday one of my friends is having a sleepover, it's for the project in science. Can I go Aunt Mito?" I asked with pleading eyes.

"Hmm. I don't see why not. You've been keeping up on your homework and it's for the project."

"Thank you Aunt Mito!" I say hugging her.

"Your welcome Gon, Just be safe. You have to get going." She laughs.

"Ah shit I'm gonna be late!" I yelled before shoving the rest of my toast in my mouth and rinsing it down with the coffee.

"Language!" Aunt Mito hissed.

"Sorry! Bye Aunt Mito! I'll see you at 9pm!"

I hopped on my bike and started my way to school. I was panting heavily as I arrived. I locked my bike up and ran towards the entrance of school, running down the hallway to get to my first class. I made it just in time for the bell to ring. I sat down next to Menchi.

"Hey Gon. How's it going?" She asked.

We've gotten to know each other a little bit in class. I wouldn't say we were quite friends though.

"I'm doing good Menchi, how about you?"

"Oh I'm good. I uh I wanted to ask you something."

I raised my eyebrow as she twirled her mint green hair through her fingers.

"What you like to go to the party Kite is throwing with me? It's next week Friday and-"

"Menchi, I would love to go with you, but my friends already ask me to join them."

"Oh I see. Could I tag along?"

I sighed. I didn't want to be rude but I kinda don't want her hanging all over me the whole time. Mostly because I want to hang out with Killua...
