As I struggled to gain control of my body, my other senses slowly started to come online. I could smell the strong cologne of my captors and feel the cold metal of the handcuffs biting into my skin. Panic began to set in as I tried to move again and again, but the restraints held firm. I could hear muffled voices in the distance, but the pounding in my head made it hard to make out what they were saying. My eyes adjusted to the dim light and I looked around to find myself in the backseat of a car.
The sound of a deep voice shouting caused me to jolt awake, and I felt a shiver of fear run down my spine as I realized that this was not a nightmare, but a terrifying reality. I was no longer in Aiya's apartment, but in a car with the two men who had broken in. They were sitting on either side of me, their presence suffocating me. The divider between the front and back seats made it difficult for me to see the driver's face, but from what I could make out, he was a burly man with a grim expression.
Looking around, I took in my surroundings. It was dark outside, and the lack of street lights suggested that we were in a remote, rural area. My heart began to race as I realized that I was completely at the mercy of these strangers. Panic rose in my chest as I wondered what was going to happen to me. Would I ever see my family and friends again?
As the car continued down the dark, deserted road, my heart pounded in my chest. I strained to listen to their conversation, hoping to glean some information about what was going to happen to me, but they spoke in rapid, unfamiliar Japanese. I couldn't understand a word. All I could do was sit there, bound and helpless, as the car drove deeper into the unknown.
The only words I could pick out were a few phrases that were repeated several times. They seemed to be talking about me and the effects of the drugs that had been used to knock me out. My head was still pounding and my vision was blurry, but I fought to stay alert and aware of my surroundings.
Suddenly, the man on my left turned to me and spoke in English. His voice was low and rough, sending chills down my spine.
"You're awake... about time," he said with a sneer. "I told Taka the drugs he injected would be too strong."
I glanced over at the other man, Taka, who looked just as menacing as the first. His arms were crossed and his eyes glared at me from under his dark hair.
I remained silent, my attention drawn to Taka's tattoos as we passed under a rare street lamp. In the dim lighting, I could faintly make out the intricate designs that covered his entire neck. I couldn't help but stare in awe, admiring the skill and artistry that went into each one. They were beautiful and terrifying at the same time.
"It's rude to ignore your elders," the bigger man interjected, his hand poised as if to strike me. I flinched, closing my eyes and bracing myself for impact.
"Enough, Rei. The boss won't be happy if she's too roughed up," Taka grumbled. I breathed a quick sigh of relief as the situation seemed to be somewhat under control. I turned my gaze towards Rei. I finally saw his face. He had taken off his mask and pushed his hair out of his face. Despite his size, his face was softer than I expected, and if he hadn't just kidnapped me, I might have found him attractive.
I quickly shook my head, trying to rid myself of those thoughts. What was I thinking? These men could be taking me to murder me or worse.
"We're not going to kill you, we're not allowed to break you in either." Rei spat as if he was reading my thoughts. Rei's gaze lingered on my body, and I felt my heart racing with fear and disgust. His eyes roamed over me slowly, taking in every curve and contour, as if he were assessing me like a piece of meat. I tried to pull away, but my hands were still bound behind my back. I wanted to scream at him to stop, to look away, but my voice was trapped in my throat.
