The one on one battles had begun and I was waiting for my turn being seated with my class. The fights went mostly how I thought they would, Midoriya vs Shinso from general studies was interesting but due to being more physically fit Midoriya won although it was a bit hit and miss for a second. The next round was Todoroki vs Sero and surprising no one Todoroki won but he did cover a good portion of the stadium with ice witch left everyone speechless. Then came Kaminari vs Shiozaki from 1-b and honestly I had no clue who was gonna win, Kaminari's quirk is strong but this girl is a complete unknown to me. The fight if you could call it that didn't last long as Kaminari went over his limit and turned into an idiot and got immobilized by the girls vines. As my match got closer and closer it felt like my heart was gonna pop out of my chest.

Getting up from my seat i went to the waiting room and I was honestly nervous.I then herd a knock on the door and called for them to enter. 

Y/n: "Come in"

Entering was someone i didn't expect to see, my mother in her work uniform. a set of normal hospital scrubs with a flowery pattern.

Y/n: "MOM! what are you doing here and why are you here"

Mom: "I told you i was coming to watch you didn't I" she smiled at me in her usual calm manner

Y/n: "No i mean what are you doing in this room and how did you get here, isnt this place off limits" i clarified

Mom: "Yes but don't worry, I'm here because you forgot this" she pulled out a small case with lots of blood vials "Your gonna be using your quirk a lot so you'll need this"

Y/n: "O-oh thanks" I took the blood from my mother and looked down

Mom: "Something wrong?"

Y/n: "I-im fine its just, im gonna be using the upper ranks and everyone will see me so i'm  a bit nervous" I don't hear my mother respond untili herd her grunt, looking up i saw her hand bleeding and i can smell her blood. "What are you doing!"

Mom: "Blood demon art, Magical Aroma of Daylight" she winched in pain having dug one of her nails into her hand to cut herself "Now what is it your scared of?"

Y/n: I try to resist her power but "I'm scared everyone will see me as a monster.... A demon"

Mom: she just hugged me and held me tight "None of that, you aren't a monster or demon, by showing people who you are you can change thor minds, besides didn't you show Akaza during the USJ"

Y/n: "..." I had no real response for that, the situation was different

Mom: "You will do fine, after all your never alone, the others are with you forever and always" releasing the hug on me she gave me a kiss on the head "Now your match is starting soon, do your best my little demon king~"

Y/n; hearing that old nickname i blushed "I'm not a kid anymore mom" 

My mother just giggled and left me alone, taking a deep breath i close my eyes. Opening them back up i was ready, it was time that the upper ranks show themselves.

The crowed roared with excitement as the next match was starting, present mic doing his usual commentary.

PM: "Alright everyone time for the next match get ready to watch two new competitors duke it out. Hes the kid with engines in his legs, Tenya Iida from the hero course verses the kid who's just full of surprises Y/n L/n also from the hero course"

With class 1-A in the stands 

Ochako: "I wonder who's gonna win, deku you saw Y/n fight at the USJ right, whats his quirk like"
