I used to know a lass,
You awake at dawn and find her reading,
In the afternoon similarly and at dusk,
Nothing else, no one else, only she and them books,
Her parents tried one day to part them so she could get some chores finished,

What did they do that for? She got nothing cooked,
She read it all, cans of meat, packets of milk and the stainless steel from Japan,
When she  beared on even Jesus walked in at crows and found her reading,
Slipped by, she was unvarried at noon,
At night He pressed a chalk on her palm and said, "I see you have read the whole assemblage but have taught no one."
