Oscar led me inside and I was surprised, it felt warm and cozy. All walls and furniture were in shades of brown.

The furniture looked expensive, teak, well polished, everything was so well designed and arranged. Oscar made a beeline to the kitchen and I followed him once I was done admiring the interiors.

He had pulled out a pan and was cooking for me, I smiled at how homely this all felt. I sighed, I'm not getting out of this unscathed.

The bell rings and Oscar doesn't bother so I walk upto the door and pull it open to find shanks and Alan talking to each other on the other side. Shanks smiled and walked passed by me while Alan nods as he closed the door behind him while we walk into the kitchen.

"So there is a missing person report for Talia in the system" Alan said and I turn to look at him.

"Is it because of my phone-"

"Not just that but also because there is a dead body and you called the cops, they heard the gunshot. Their assumption is either you were shot and ran or you were abducted. The most obvious is that you were murdered and your body was disposed."

Talia had goosebumps at the thought of everything that had happened in this short span. Her life was taking very twisted route, she knew her invention would cause a havoc but not this kind. She underestimated the men.

"No harm will come to you"

Talia turned to Oscar who was looking at her as if he could see right through her so she chuckled and smiled. "What could possibly happen to with you around" she whispered but he heard, Shanks was busy admiring Alan who was looking through Shanks laptop.

She pinned her hair up and then turned to Alan, "what is it?" She asked him and Alan looked at her but still lost in thought.

"Alan"

Oscar called out and he whipped his head towards Oscar who looked at Alan expectantly.

"Uh well this is a quite weird situation I expected them to take her hostage or kill her but their aim seems to be something else. High possibility that they just want the possession of the tool."

Talia sighed.

"I never intended for this to get out of hand. I assumed that this would bring in transparency between people but it looks like a tool for them to overpower others."

Talia walked over to Oscar and silently helps him cook, they knew she wanted to end the conversation at that.

Oscar pauses and leans down, he kissed her forehead and got back to work.

Talia blushed and turned to the other two who quickly move out of there and sit down at the dining while discussing.

Talia knew what she had to do, she couldn't quite rely on Oscar, not yet, its too soon to be sure about what kind of a person he might be.

She didn't take him to be a gentleman. He is hiding his true nature is what she thought.

Oscar had never been scarred when it came to his love life. He never felt anything for another till she walked into his life. He knew she was hesitant, she kept testing and judging Oscar.

And he knew that it was just in response to the men she had been around.

Oscar isn't perfect but he knew how to respect others. He knew to what extent he had to keep boundaries but she didn't and he was being patient for her sake.

Shanks and Alan weren't oblivious to what was happening. Shanks has been around Talia for a long time, he handled her mess and her. She is a sweetheart and too bold and unnecessarily daring at times but she is the most righteous person he had met.
