Neteyam pov

I walk back to my pod and sit with my family. "You feeling better?" Kiri says, I'm about to answer when I get interrupted. "I think he's very well" dad says smirking at me.

"Dad!" I say as he laughs. "What? You not better?" He joke's as I sigh rolling my eyes. The others only look at us confused.

We all spend the rest of the night together as we all decide to head to bed, I walk into my room and drift off to sleep happy.

Y/N pov

I wake up in the morning and leave my room to greet my family. "Hey guys" I say as they smile at me. "Y/N can you come with me I need to ask you something" dad says as I nod and he leads me outside our pod.

"I need you to do something for me son" he says as I nod at him confused. "Yeah what is it?" I ask.

"I figured since Neteyam was getting to an older age that you could show him some of the ladies here for him, you seem to be good friends and I thought you would be the right person" I look at him upset from what he just said. "Is that ok for you to do?" He asks as I hold back small tears.

"Uh, yeah. Yeah I'll do that dad" I say looking down as he smiles putting his hand on my shoulder. "Thanks Y/N" he says walking back into the pod as I stay behind.

What do I do? Should I tell my dad that he likes me? I don't know but I walk away from my home, not caring about breakfast and walk to the beach and sit on the sand.

"Hey Y/N you alright?" I hear tsireya say. "Umm, kinda" I answer as she sits next to me. "What's wrong?"

"Dad wants me to show Neteyam woman for him to get with" I say upset as she puts her hand on my shoulder and moving a bit of hair behind my ear. "I thought that he knew?" She says as I shrug.

"I haven't told him yet" I tell her. "Why don't we tell him now?" She says about to stand up when I pull her back down. "I haven't told him I like guys yet, what if he isn't happy about it?"

"I'm sure he'll be fine with it, come on!" She's tell me as she drags me up onto my feet. "Ok.. I'll do it!" I say confidently as she hugs me. "Yay! Come on!"

She drags me by my hand to our pod as we see dad say doing work on the floor.

Neteyam pov

I walk along the beach to see Y/N being dragged by tsireya to his pod. I follow silently to know what there doing.

"Dad! Y/N wants to tell you something!" Tsireya says exited as tonowari turns to them, the two sitting down infront of him. "Yeah?" He only says looking at the two.

"Dad.. you know how you wanted me to show Neteyam the women here?" What? I didn't know anything about that.

"We'll. I kind of like him, and. I think.. I think he likes me" Y/N says looking down with his eyes up to his dad.

Tonowaris face scrunches up as he stand up and walks to the two, both of them standing up too. "My son.. is a monster!" He yells as he pushes Y/N to the wall. "Dad stop!" Tsireya says running over in between the two. Tonowari pushing her away to the ground.

"Dad please I-" Y/N tries to say. "I, am ashamed! To have you as a child!" Tonowari yells as he begins to beat Y/N. "Fight like a real mad or die!" He yells pulling Y/N up by his hair, Y/N hissing in pain.

"I won't fight you" Y/N only says calmly. "Then die for all I care!"

I run up to them and push tonowari off him. Tsireya running off. "Don't! you'll kill him!" I yell as he looks at me with rage.

"You.. you made him like this!" He yell marching over to me. He raises his fist as I close my eyes turning my head away. "Neteyam!" Y/N yells as he falls to the ground coughing up blood. "Tonowari! What are you doing!?" I hear dad yelling as tonowari looks over to him, lowering his fist.

"Have you lost your mind!?" Dad yells as he runs up to us. "I- I just-" he stutters as dad looks around to see if  I'm hurt. "Y/N!" aonung says running up to him and scooping him in his arms.

"It's alright Y/N your going to be ok" Aonung says as he walks out with tsireya following.

"Have you lost your mind tonowari! What's gotten into you!" Ronal says walking in. "Honey I'm sorry I jus-" "you almost killed our son! And you were about to hit another parents child!"

"Are you ok Neteyam?" Dad says "yeah I'm fine"

Y/N pov

Aonung lays me down on a mat in the sullys pod. I hiss at the pain as I sit up. "No Y/N you need to rest" Aonung says but I shake him away.

"I'll be fine I can heal myself." I answer as tsireya buts in. "Y/N your too weak you'll die if you try to heal yourself"

I sigh as I lie back down. Aonung and tsireya above me. "Just get some rest ok" Aonung says as they get up and walk out. A sharp pain in my side stab in game as I lay there for what's feels like eternity.
