You were sitting cuddled up in blankets on the comfy couch in the Wangshu Inn.

You've been living here for three years now, since you started working in the Inn.
Soon after being accepted as a maid, your boss porposed that in exchange for a small part of your payment, you could get a cozy room with a nice bathroom.
You gotta admit that you missed having a bath, but your big bed was much better than your old, hardly keeping itself together, bed in your old rented room on the outskirts of Liyue City.

Before starting your service here, you were informed of a certain Yaksha living in one of the rooms.
You have been told that he was antisocial and avoided people like a plague, so you didn't bother to seek a friendship with the mighty Yaksha.
Though you had noticed him, in the corner of your eye, standing far away with his arms crossed looking at you, sensing if you were any trouble.
But he left you alone, when he understood that you just worked here and were doing a pretty good job.

Infact you heard people compliment your work.
You were known as the Nice Maid Y/n.
People loved coming in just to have a chat with you, which didn't go unnoticed by your boss and you had been appropriately rewarded.

And by that time, you almost didn't see Xiao at all.

That was till you were once cleaning his favorite balcony and he suddenly appeared behind you.

"What are you doing here mortal?"

He said in a harsh tone, thinking that would scare you off.

"I'm just cleaning up a bit so you, Mighty Yaksha, might have the best time spent here as possible."

You said in a light-hearted voice.
You were in a good mood today since you finally met the famous traveler and it was no different than with others.
They immidietly struck a conversation with you and you became friends quickly.
You didn't notice as a little blush formed on Xiaos face.
He scoffed and quickly disappeared.
You giggled to yourself at this interaction.

And to your suprise, more of interactions like his one were about to happend from now on.

Unexpectedly green haired yaksha took a liking in you.
He once said that he liked how you didn't try to make a "useless conversation" with him whenever he appeared near you while you were cleaning his balcony.
You also noticed how he listens to your humming or quiet singing while doing your job.

That's how your friendship formed.

Whenever you cleaned or had a free time to rest on the balcony, he would come and sit somewhere near you just to be in your presence.
Sometimes he even agreed to make a "useless conversation" with you and that's how little by little you got to know eachother.
You knew you could count on him, and he knew he could rest in peace when spending time with you.

Now, going back to recent events.
You hardly ever got any rude customers, but when they did show up you would put your polite smile on and under your charm they would calm down and apologise for their behavior.

Weirdly, that did not work today.
You knew something was up with them when they only set foot in the restaurant and sat down with a grimace on their face.
As always you greeted them and handed them the menu. Not even a thank you left their mouth.
Instead of waiting for you to come up to their table, they yelled at you like one would yell for their dog to come.

Trying not to mind it that much you formed a neautral expression on your face and took their order.
You could forget their rude bahavior if it wasn't for their constant nagging about their food taking too long.
