Evil Rears Its Poison

Mieczyslaw had always been protective of his little sister ever since he held her in his arms. He promised with a kiss on her head that he wouldn't let anyone hurt her and yet here he stood, watching Kelly Johnson pick on his sister, Katarzyna hiding her tears by keeping her head bowed. He hates middle school bullies worse than elementary school.

"Awww, are you going to cry? Show everyone here what a big baby you are?" Katarzyna's lip trembled as she gripped her books tight, moving to turn and walk away when she felt a rough pull on her braid and hissed, falling back but before she could, Mieczyslaw rushed out to catch her in almost a blink of an eye, eyes glaring heavy with disgust at Kelly.

"Oh look, her shining knight in armor." Kelly cocked her as she moved to lean in and Mieczyslaw, while not a were, still growled and tightened his hold on his sister, covering her ears as if to protect her from the wench's voice. Kelly moved to speak but no words fell from her venomous lips as Derek slid between her and the siblings, eyes shining a hint of gold while Laura popped up behind the girl group, slamming Kelly's locker shut by just leaning on it, propping a foot up behind her.

"Kelly, why don't you go be a bitch elsewhere, hm? I think these two just became off your bitch radar." Laura looked away from her perfectly done blood red nails to the blonde who at least was smart enough to be afraid of the two Hale siblings. No one dared to cross a member of the Hale family and if they did, it wasn't without their reputation and life being destroyed.

Kelly scoffed at Laura before directing her friends away from the scene, Mieczyslaw turning his attention back to his sister who was wiping her eyes of tears. "Kat, you alright?" He asked in a soft tone and got a small nod before helping her rise as Derek and Laura moved to stand in front of them. "Well, looks like you're under Hale protection now." Laura smirked and Mieczyslaw smiled at her. "Thanks Laur, that was pretty damn badass." The two bumped fists while Derek shook his head and offered Katarzyna his hand which she took, smiling when he squeezed it and gave her comfort through the pack bond.

The core four turned to walk to class, talking about whatever before splitting to their seats. When it came to lunch, the four were joined by Mieczyslaw's friend, Scott. Scott McCall was an abnormal child with a crooked jaw and big brown eyes like chocolate chips. Kid wore his heart on his sleeve but when it came to the Hales, he would feel jealous of how much they seemed to know more than him about Mieczyslaw and Katarzyna despite the three growing up together since they were infants.

"Ugh! Of course Jamie's flavor of the month packed my lunch. She can't even cook so why does she bother?" Laura grumbled, gagging at what seemed to be an attempt at pasta salad and fruit that clearly hadn't been kept at the correct temperature. "She is in high school." Derek said and Laura rolled her eyes at his comment. "That's what makes it worse." She was starving but not for the pasta salad. Katarzyna pulled out an extra sandwich. Turkey, American cheese, Mayo, lettuce, half a tomato and bacon, sliding it over to Laura along with a small bag of Cheetos and a water bottle with a blue kool-aid packet.

Laura was surprised. "I..I can't take your food." She tried to slide it back but Katarzyna pushed it back and shook her head. "I made it for you. I had a feeling that your lunch was gonna be crappy since your mom is away so I wanted to make sure you eat." Laura smiled and patted her friend's hand. "Thank you for coming to Miec's and I's help." Katarzyna added and Laura waved it off, taking a bite and covering her mouth to hide the pleased moan while Derek and Miec chuckled while Scott hid an eye roll. "We're pack. It's what we do for each other." Derek said as his phone buzzed and he took it out of his pocket to see a text from his mother.

Ko-kos (Mother): I'll be back in tonight. Xiomara says tonight is the night.

Derek smiled and nudged Laura, showing her the message which Laura smiled and then hid it from the Stilinski siblings. Soon, they would really be a pack as Claudia and John would be brought it and moving in with the Hale Family. Miec and Kat were none the wiser the whole day until it came time to leave and Jamie, the eldest Hale sibling pulled up in his blue Ford Bronco, his girlfriend, Wendy, in the passenger seat. "I can't wait to drive." Laura grumbled, her happy mood gone at the sight of the bimbo blonde who was eyeing Derek more than her own boyfriend.

Derek felt uncomfortable as he got in, clearly smelling whatever Wendy was thinking which just seemed so, so wrong to him but when Miec pulled him into a game of I Spy, he perked up immediately, happily playing along until the car pulled up at the Hale Ranch. Mansion seemed too gaudy and Home felt right but given the large amount of land, Ranch just made sense. Claudia and Aurelia, Peter's wife, were sitting on the porch swing, talking with mugs of tea in their hands. Miec and Kat immediately sprang out of the car. It didn't matter that they were 12 and 11, they would always want to be babied by their mother who happily doted on them.

"Mamusia! Mamusia!" Kat cried as Claudia gasped and rose, walking down the steps to meet her children and squatted so they could rest their heads on either of their shoulders. "Oh my sweet kits." She smiled and pulled back to look at them while Laura and Derek walked inside and Jamie pulled off with a rather curiously suspicious Wendy who was eyeing the Hale Ranch.
