Enid's POV:
The sun peaked out of the horizon.
I woke up and immediately remembered what happened the night before.
I have never woken up before her and I was quite surprised.
Is she sick? Or did she just enjoy the night. We had to get up though. It was the last day before we go home for the summer.
"Wednesday! Wednesday wake up!!" I called her but to no avail. I shook her and tapped her shoulder but she wouldn't wake up.
Is she dead or something?? I put my arm around her and let her rest. I've given up.
Wednesday's POV:
I woke up a while before Enid but instead of waking her up and leaving I stared at her and studied her features.
I saw her open her eyes. I had to choices, either let her wake up and see me staring at her or pretend to be asleep. I chose the obvious one.
After a while I knew we had no choice but to get ready and finally get all this blood off of us.
I didn't want to wake her so I just got out of bed and went to shower. When I came back I saw her in the same position thinking I was there. I shook her a bit to wake her up so she could shower.
"Enid?.. Enid!" I yelled but she wouldn't wake up. She was a very deep sleeper. I gave up and she had left me with no choice.
I grabbed her hand and pulled her out of bed till she tumbled out of bed.
"OWWW! That hurt!!" She said rubbing her head.
"Stop exaggerating and get ready. There is no time to mess around." I stated and pointed to the bathroom.
With no words she hit up and went to the bathroom. I couldn't see her face until she closed the door. A frown.
Enid's POV:
I stepped into the shower and turned the shower head on. I soon got out and walked out the door.
Wednesday wasn't there. I looked around a bit but nothing.
"She might have left." Ajax said startling me.
"AHHH!!!"
"Ajax you scared me!"
"Sorry!" He apologized
"It's okay!" I said with a smile on my face
He extended his arm out and wrapped his arm around my neck.
I felt wierd when he did but I didn't pay attention to those feelings.
It helped Wednesday get through life maybe avoiding my feelings a bit can help me.
We walked outside where he was getting picked up. He kissed me goodbye but I pulled out earlier.
I smiled "Goodbye Ajax, love you!"
"Okay, love you too!" He assured me as he stepped into his car.
I walked back to Nevermore. Alone, cold, lonely and missing my friends.
My parents abandoned me and wouldn't let me stay at their house.
The walk back to my dorm was bitter and I couldn't stop thinking about the night me and Wednesday almost died. I looked at the two sides. Wednesdays half dead as usual.
The only reason I say half dead is because the other side is mine.
I go over to her side. Everything was gone.
Her bed was still here. I plopped down on it.
"I miss her so much" the words mumbled out of my mouth.
I heard some tapping across the floor.
No way....
I jumped out of bed and looked around.
I felt a bit of weight on my shoe.
"THING!!" I yelled and picked him so I can see him clearly.
"Wednesday sent me to check up on you. She knows you're still here." He signed.
"Really?" I questioned
Thing handed me a note.
Dear Enid,
I am aware that you are staying in our dorm. I don't want you to be alone so I sent thing to accompany you for your stay.
Enjoy your summer.
