Nobody really knows how Artemis came to be, he just found himself waking up in a big cave with Amber sleeping in his lap, small critters surrounding him.
I'm gonna do this in the only way I know..... 3rd Person rp.
The boy woke up quickly feeling something moving in his lap "GAH-" he quickly got up pushing the animal off of him. What flopped into the small puddle before him seemed to be a small snake, and next to The boy was a book with a dirty gold cover. The child slowly picked it up, blowing the dust before reading out 'Η ιστορία των Ελλήνων θεών και θεών με', 'The History of Greek Gods and Godesses by' there was no author, the name had been clearly cut out with a knife, jagged lines around where the authors name should be, and an empty hole in the middle. "weird..." the boy stood up looking through the book, he didn't understand everything the book said, for this boy was around 8 or 9 years old, but he would soon make it his destiny to find the people and gods mentioned in the book.
time skip to where he's about 15
The boy fell inlove with the book, carrying it wherever he went, the boy named his snake friend after what symbolised safety and confidence. He went on the name himself after the goddess of animal and child protections, Artemis. "C'mon Amber! We've got things to do and animals to help!" Artie bent down to his little snake friend in the pond. It made a friendly hiss at him and swirled around in a circle before crawling up arte's arm and resting on his neck "there we go girl!" Artie giggled and patted the small frogs on the rocks with his finger. He had this routine for all of his life really, he was aware of the life cycle and how some animals had to be hunted by others, but Artie just wanted to protect them from witches that could hurt them, without reason of course.
... but the peace didn't stay forever, nothing lasts forever...

When Arte was 17, he wanted to try out Redstone, he had seen it almost everywhere and was destined to master it. He failed. He failed his animals. He failed the jungle. He failed everything. The only ones safe were the ones that hid underground and the ones that ran away, everything and everyone else was destroyed.
The fire destroyed almost everything he loved, he did his best to replenish the jungle, he did in the end but it wasn't enough for him, to his day he stays away from Redstone, he doesn't want to lose any of his friends again, not again.
I like traumatizing children.
Ya so arte has a love interest, a girl named Elio, The Redstone Witch! Redstone and nature? Hm.... anygays, the next chapter will be them meeting or smth- idk yet
