There was an ominous feeling as Ten stepped onto the front porch on the Jung residence. The door immediately swung open, Ten being met with a boy with dusty pink hair and two little babies. "Hey Ten." Taeyong said, he extended the door more so Ten could walk through.

"What's up Ten? You seemed upset on the phone." Ten sighed, hurling himself back on the couch before opening his mouth to explain the Johnny situation.

"... and that's what's been going on." Taeyong expression wasn't pleasant as he stared at Ten.

"I don't know what to do about it Ten. The more we fight Johnnys mom, the more she's gonna pull Johnny away from us." Ten's mind thought about the worse case scenario.

"Yong, I'm afraid she could actually kill him." Ten cried, voice filled with desperation. Taeyong looked at Ten with sadness in his eyes.

"Do you truly believe she'd kill him?" Taeyong asked, his eyes diverting between his kids and Ten. The Thai only stared at Taeyong, tears threatening to fall from his eyes as he thought of Johnny and what he's gone through.

"Yes Taeyong, I truly believe she could kill him."

Johnny threw himself on his bed, his scalp aching and while his arm burned. He peeled his shirt off, staring at the new burn mark that lays on his tanned skin in a perfect circle. He sat there for a minute, staring at the scars that were scattered on his body. Slight cuts here and there, and many of the circles.

Johnny made his way to his bathroom, almost feeling as this was a routine as he grabbed burn cream from the cabinet above his sink and the bottle of ibuprofen. He layered the burn cream on his skin, grimacing when his finger would go over the cigarette mark.

With an ache in his skin he walked back into his bathroom, the chilled air sending a frosty breeze to the cream covered wound. His face grimaced once more. Johnny threw himself on his bed, grabbing the covers covering himself head to toe.

Memories from his childhood flooded his mind, hiding his head under the blankets to block out the sound of screaming, the sound of glass breaking, to keep out the demons that traveled with him. He was transported to the night that his father died.

A door slammed. That's all it took before the house was filled with screams, the voices bouncing from one side to another. Johnny stayed in the corner of the dining room, his hands covering his ears as he tucked his head between his knees to somehow drown out the noise.

There was a moment of stillness, the only sound that was audible to him the groaning of the house after its many years of inhabitance. There was a rip of a blood curtailing scream the next second, Johnny shut his eyes tight a slight pounding begging to form in the back of his eyes and his temples.

He wasn't prepared for what he saw when he opened his eyes. He was back in his bed, his head tucked under his blanket a man in a police uniform trying to speak to him but all he heard was static. "He's just a little boy! He doesn't know anything!" A feminine voice screeched, he looked up, seeing his mother.

Her hands were tightened around the pearl necklace she held at her neck, a gash on her forehead and remnants of blood still left on her paled skin. "Officer, he knows nothing. When the intruder came in I told him to run." She screeched, her voice growing in octaves as she lied. She was good at that. Lying, that is.

The officer nodded, leaving him on the bed. There was a murderous glint in her eyes, once the officers left the room she looked at her don with the same look.

Her long legs stalked over to her son's bed, her arm wrapping around his small body as she pressed his head into her chest. Her lips net the cusp of his ear, her shallow breaths terrifying the boy, "Say one fucking word, and you're next."

She peeled his head from her chest, giving a small smile, patting him on the head leaving the room.

Johnny knew his mother was terrible. But had so many years of her abuse really pile up so much he forgot that night. The night his entire world changed, the day that she had full control.

The day his life should have ended.
