3 months. 3 months Dante had traveled this vast planet in a vain attempt to move on. 3 months since the events of Mallet Island, where he'd unknowingly been tricked into killing his twin brother, Vergil... since he'd left his beloved shop in the somewhat worried hands of Lady and Trish. He needed a fresh start, a new take on life, and the Devil Hunter gigs just weren't the same. He'd even gone so far as to ask Morrison, an old acquaintance, to have his weapons stored. Now all he carries is his twin custom-made death dealers, Ebony and Ivory, gifts from the late Nell Goldstein. Nell...another person who he blamed himself for not being able to save...
He snapped out of the memory. Now's not the time for self pity and remorse, he told himself. Now's time to get shit done. He pulled out the letter Morrison sent him 3 days ago, and it reads as follows:
Dante, old friend, how's the traveling going? Hope you like it because I got one hell of a suggestion for your next stop: Romania. I need a favor, I'm afraid to say. An old friend and informant in the area has been a bit quiet lately, and I need you to check up on her. Her name is Luiza, she lives on the outskirts of the village. I haven't heard from her in 2 weeks, and that's a week and a half too long. Thanks again.

He folded the letter and put it back in the inside pocket of his coat before sliding down the slope that would deliver him into the village. Before he hit the slope, however, he decided to take one last look at the valley before he descended, letting out a low whistle in the process.
