"You can feel the awkwardness."

Someone said.

The duo walked as quietly as they could to avoid alerting any nearby Raptures of their presence.

Stopping, Marian turned to (M/N) and spoke: "We're almost there."

"Yeah." Anis sighed. "Almost there to one of our biggest failures."

The others were confused on the Nikke words.

They knew that they had lost a Nikke during the battle but they made it sound like it was worse.

Well...those who saw Nikkes as more than weapons of war were confused. Those that saw them as more than tools realized why she had such a tired tone in her voice.

She reported, before asking: "Are you alright?"

She questioned the young commander, concern that he might still be suffering from any hidden injuries.

"I'm fine."

"But is he really?"

Snow White asked.

"Considering who he is...yeah, he's fine."

Kunikuzushi simply said.

...When are they going to be let in on the joke.

(M/N) waved her off with a smile.

"I wasn't hurt, just dazed for a bit."

'...Besides.' He thought to himself. 'I don't need you shocking me again.'

*Snicker*

"He fears being shocked that much?"

Anis chuckled at that, as did several others.

"Try being shocked back to life and tell me how you feel."

Lucina deadpanned at her Nikke, who shut up at that.

Neon laughed at Anis, while Rapi silently smiled.

Which was not lost to Eunhwa and Absolute.

Only serving to further fuel the Leader anger.

'We used to be like that!' Eunhwa thought to herself. 'But then she left!'

'WHY!?'

She just couldn't understand why Rapi just up and left with nothing but a letter stating her resignation.

Didn't they deserve at least an explanation from her?

Even if it ended in her still leaving, at least it wouldn't seem like a betrayal!

'Maybe I'll find out the truth as we watched further.'

Eunhwa thought to herself.

She just hoped the reason was good.

"That's good."

Marian smiled.

...(M/N) was glad that he could keep a straight face.

"Why though?"

Diesel tilted her head in confusion.

Even though, he was sure it was because of her programming to be concern for him. He can't help but feel that it's more genuine than just simple programming. That she was truly worried for him.
