In the morning, August and Sylvirah decided to spend some time exploring the forest. "Every time I explore the forest, I'm amazed by its beauty. It has this... mesmerizing effect on me," August commented. "I know what you mean. Life is full of surprises," Sylvirah replied, briefly making eye contact with August. "Do you want to meet Vivian?" August asked. "Who's Vivian?" Sylvirah asked. "She's the ikran that I bonded with," August explained. "Oh. I would like that very much," she replied. August and Sylvirah went to the highest branches of Hometree, where August called for Vivian, who landed before them. "She's beautiful," Sylvirah said, gently petting Vivian's head. "Neytiri told me that her coloration is very rare," August said, referring to Vivian's magenta, purple and teal colors. "It is very rare for an ikran to have this particular coloration. They usually only bond with those who are prophets and seers," Sylvirah said, eyeing August curiously. "What?" She asked. "Have you ever seen things that have yet to occur?" Sylvirah asked calmly. "Well, I've had these oddly vivid dreams since I was a child. I even dreamed about being here on Pandora, and meeting you and Neytiri," August replied. "Then you are probably a seer. I have a friend who can teach you how to view the potential future at will, if you would like to meet her," Sylvirah said. "I'd like that," August said, so Sylvirah led her to a room she'd never seen before. In the middle of the room stood a Na'vi woman that was vaguely familiar to August. "August, this is my friend Grace. Grace, this is -" Sylvirah began before Grace interrupted. "August?" She asked. "Dr. Augustine?" August asked back. "You two know each other?" Sylvirah asked. "Yeah. Dr. Augustine is the head of the Avatar Program," August said. "Oh. I forgot about that detail. Sorry, Grace," Sylvirah said. "It's alright, Sylvirah. I'm guessing that you brought Grace here because of her dreams?" Grace asked. "Yeah. I'll just... leave you to it," Sylvirah said, leaving the room.

"Sylvirah, I'm sure there's nothing to worry about," Neytiri told her sister. "I know, Neytiri. I don't even know why I'm nervous," Sylvirah said, just as August walked up behind her. "Hey Sylvirah," she said, causing Sylvirah to jump in fright. "I didn't hear you coming!" Sylvirah exclaimed. "I didn't mean to frighten you," August said. "I know. We were just talking about you, actually," Sylvirah replied. "You were?" August asked. "Yeah. Sylvirah is worried about you, but she doesn't know why," Neytiri replied. "I just... Something inside me is telling me that something bad is going to happen to you. Not as a result of your lessons with Grace, but something else," Sylvirah chimed in. "It could be that my father really hates the Na'vi," August said. "That could be. I'm sure that there's no need to worry yet, though. I don't know why I'm nervous, anyway," Sylvirah said. "Well, if there's anything I can do to help you, please let me know," August said. "I will, thanks," Sylvirah said.

When August woke up in her link bed, she climbed out and went to Grace's office in Hell's Gate to begin learning how to control her seer ability. She knocked on the door, and Grace told her to come in. She sat down across from Grace, who handed her a book. "These are firsthand accounts of how both humans and Na'vi have learned to control their seer ability. If you need any help with any of the techniques in the book, just let me know," Grace said. "That's it? I thought you were going to teach me how to control it," August said. "Well, I know that you learn best when left to your own devices. If I might make a suggestion, I think that the best technique in the book for you to try is Faith May's technique," Grace said. "Thank you," August said, heading to her room to begin studying the book Grace gave her.

Back at Hometree, Sylvirah watched August's avatar sleep, finding it peaceful and calming, in a way. It was so calming, in fact, that she fell asleep for a bit. "I see you," August whispered into Sylvirah's ear when she woke up in her avatar. "Morning already?" Sylvirah asked sleepily, opening her eyes to look at August. "Yeah. I want to see what you like to do for fun today, if you're okay with that," August said. "Sure. I'd love to show you," Sylvirah replied. She got to her feet and beckoned for August to follow, and they went to the ground floor. Once they were there, they both grabbed their bows and a quiver of arrows each before heading out to the forest. "I like to practice my archery whenever I can. I have targets set up and everything," Sylvirah said as they walked. "That's pretty impressive," August said. "Thank you. I like doing things my own way when I can," Sylvirah replied. She led August to a large tree with a small banner attached to it, explaining that there were more trees with the small banners, arranged in a sort of obstacle course. "I found out that this is the best way for me to train, because it tests my stamina and accuracy," Sylvirah explained to August. "That makes sense. That way you don't tire out as easily, and you don't steadily lose your accuracy over time, either," August said. "That was part of my thinking when I made this course for myself. It can still be challenging at times, but I enjoy a challenge," Sylvirah said, drawing her bow and preparing an arrow, aiming for a nearby target. She released the arrow, hitting the target squarely between the eyes. "Wow. That was awesome," August said, setting up her own shot, which hit the target in the forehead. "Nice shot, Augie," Sylvirah said. "Uh... Thank you?" August replied. "Oh. I should've asked before I called you Augie," Sylvirah replied. "It's okay. I didn't expect it, that's all," August said. They completed Sylvirah's training course, then they had lunch together before laying down to watch the sky. "This is nice," August said. "I agree. It's very peaceful," Sylvirah said, turning her head to look at August. "What?" August asked. "You're so pretty," Sylvirah replied with a small smile. "So are you, Sylvi," August replied. "Aww," she said. "What?" August asked again. "We have cute nicknames for each other. I called you Augie earlier, and you just called me Sylvi," Sylvirah replied. "Oh. I suppose you have a point there," August said, brushing a few strands of hair out of Sylvirah's face. "Thank you Augie," Sylvirah said. "No problem, Sylvi," August replied.
