Another morning of paperwork kept you busy so far. You were kind enough to do Price's paperwork again since you did so well during being held back. You were nearly finished when someone knocked on your door. Gee, I wonder who it is.

"Yeah?" you called.

No surprise, it was Ghost, again. He leaned on the doorway and looked at you while you kept writing on the paper.

"You know you do paperwork a lot right?"

"Yeah, I know."

He shifted his footing. "Got us 3 days off... If y'want to go out... then back to my house."

His house?

You sat your pen down and frowned, thinking if he deserved this. "I don't know, maybe." You looked at him and bit your lip nervously.

"Let me know within 3 hours, then..."

Finally, he walked out. Fuck, has he been annoying lately.

--

You finish the paperwork and sign it then go to hand it in to Price. He's leaned back on his desk with his arms folded as if he was waiting on you.

"Thanks, Diamond. Listen... That can't get in the way of work. Bad 'nough it came out at that bar," he huffs, looking over your face. "I'd hate to dismiss ya, kiddo... Enjoy your days off."

"Understood, captain."

--

Well, shit. Even if you don't take Ghost up on his offer, you had 3 days off that were already confirmed and had nothing to do otherwise. You decided to take a long shower to think about it.

Fuck, you hated your heart right now. It was longing to have answers, to try and make this work no matter how mad you were.

Time off was rare seeing as this was the first 3 days you had off with no duties since you've been here. That led you to think of the possibility of how it would work. The best solution in your head was to completely separate yourselves in work. But then how that time off would be rare. If you got hurt, it'd distract him and cause him to pull away again. You felt like you couldn't win either way.

Fuck it.

--

You search the safe house and the range and couldn't find him. No one answered when you knocked on his door, so you walked to the gym. You go in and find him there, lifting weights. He sets them down as he notices you and walks towards you silently, awaiting your answer.

You cross your arms and look at the ground. "I'll go..."

"Cool. You ready then?"

"Mm, not just yet. Let me get out of this uniform and grab a few things..."

"Okay. I'll be waiting in the car."

Hmm, he must have his stuff ready already. But he was still in uniform.

You made quick work of packing a bag full of t-shirts, sweatpants and undergarments, along with a pistol and knife just in case. You folded up your uniform and set it on your bed while you changed into a tank top, ripped blue jeans and a cardigan. You forgot you were actually going out, so you styled your hair and moisturized your face deciding to not wear makeup despite you two going... out.

You walk to the car, and he smiles under his mask. "I like you all natural."

You softly smiled as he opened the door for you and said, "Thank you."

Well, it wasn't too bad seeing as he was still in uniform, and you were dressed casually. You wondered where he was taking you when the drive was nearly an hour long on the highway. When finally, you pulled up to a... fancy Italian restaurant. It surprised you because it seemed relatively busy and... there were a decent amount of people. You thought about his mask, but you figured it would be like every other day, he lifts his mask up to eat.
