My knees were weak and my vision was blurry. I felt Ben's arms around me as I nearly fell to the ground. "What happened?" Ben asked concerned. "My mom and my uncle." I stuttered. Ben's eyes grew wide and I felt his fists clentch. All my emotions were mixed at this point, I had no idea what I was going to do. "But how?" Ben asked. "Sabotage." I said hatefully. How did I know Damien who was behind this? Easy, he is trying to get to me. As much as I want to go find him and rip his throat out for killing my family, I know that's what he wants. Ben took my hand and he started leading me to the others. The tears couldn't stop falling from my eyes, the pain I felt in my heart was unbearable. We walked for what seemed like ages, when we finally reached the others. We sat down in the park all around each other. I got myself together and looked at everyone as I took a deep breath.
So this is how it happened. My uncle had come down to visit my mom and help out in the coven. After we had left the other day, my uncle had came down. According to my brother, while he was walking out two strangers had walked into the coven to talk to my mom about the coven. My aunt was the one who had found them dead near the alter. I'm guessing while they had their backs turned Damien's men had stabbed them to death. The funeral was in a few days. At first I didn't want to attend but when I was young I promised my mom i'd spread her ashes when she passed. This was a major set back on our plan since I wasn't at full strength to do anything. I couldn't fight physically and I was emotionally drained.
"Why are you such a big target in this?" Cynthia asked nearly in tears. I shrugged and wiped the tears still coming down my face. I looked over at Michael who was sitting silently. "What's wrong with him?" I mouthed to Cyndy. She shrugged at me and looked at him. "I'm thinking of a new plan." Michael stated. "Well the funeral is in a few days." I reminded him. "We can't wait much longer to make a move." Cyndy sighed. "So these next few days, whether I like it or not, we are going to prepare for this aren't we?" I sighed heavily. Everyone nodded at me as I covered my face in my hands. Unfortunatly, I knew how it was all going to end. No matter how hard we could try to dance around it. I was too lost in my thoughts too realize I had begun to turn over. Quickly I was being held down amd told to calm down.
I was losing control of everything. All parts of me that were human were shutting down. I began to feel numb everywhere. I felt the blood lust come over me. I felt no emotion what so ever, I didn't feel human at all. The strange part is I liked it this way. All I remember is fighting and yelling at my friends to let go. Everything after that went to a blur. The best way to describe what happened is drinking so much that you black out. I woke up and my body hurt all over. "What the fuck happened to me?" I yelled looking at myself. "You lost control and we had to contain you." Cyndy said from across the room. "Contain me?" I asked confused. "Yeah strap you down so you wouldn't go looking for revenge." Cyndy explained. I smirked, I don't know why I thought that was funny. "You're a stubborn little shit." Michael said as he walked in. "I could've told you that one." I snickered. Michael unstrapped me and I sat up rubbing my aching head.
I walked into the kitchen to get a glass of water. Ben and Dj played Call of Duty while the girls were on their laptops. "Glad to see you're okay!" Amber said smiling. I smiled back and replied "Yeah, barely". "You almost got arrested." Dj blurted out. My eyes widend and I looked at Michael and Cyndy. "You're joking right?" I asked. They shook their heads at me. "How did I even get like that?" I asked sitting on the counter. "You broke from our hands and stormed off looking for a fight." Ben said to me. "You still don't have a grip on your powers, and your feelings spiraled out of control, once again throwing off the balance between being human and vampire." Michael explained sipping on his coffee. "This is quite a difficult life to control." I said looking down. "Hey we'll get through it, babe." Ben said hugging me. I glanced up at Michael and saw something strange in his facial expression.
That look usually means he has come to the realization of something bad. He looked at me and took another drink of his coffee. He put his hand on Cyndy's shoulder as he walked away. i hugged Ben quickly and followed Michael. "Michael, we have to talk." I said to him before he walked off the bus. "Come with me." He says as we walk into the venu we are parked at. We sit down in the back of the venu. "What was that look earlier?" I asked impatiently. "You know how this is going to end right?" He replied looking me in the eye. "Badly, for everyone." I answered quietly. He sipped his coffee and nodded lightly. "Does everyone else know?" I broke the silence. "Maybe Ben, but everyone else is most likely clueless." Michael said with sympathy in his voice. I looked up to the cloudy sky. There was only one way this will be truly over. I looked at Michael, nodded my head and walked back onto the bus. The only question left was, How much longer do we have now?
