The Vampire Chronicles

Chapter 9

I heard distant screaming. I looked at my wrist and the blood was flowing heavily. The reflection off the water became blurry. I had a past of cutting, but I hadn't in years, the pain was so overwhelming, the old habit came back. I fell down next to the bank and the moonlight shined over me. "Ben...." I whispered as the energy was taken away from me.

Ben ran through the woods and went to the creek. He saw my motionless body, he dropped to my side and kept saying my name. He took off his shirt and wrapped it around my wrist, I was losing alot of blood and it tainted the water. He carried me all the way back to the buses. "You found her! Is she oka..." Cyndy began before she saw me unconcious. "Michael, come here NOW." Cyndy yelled urgently. Michael ran onto the Asking Alexandria tour bus and observed Brandy. "Get the wine and the healing herbs." Michael told Cyndy. She nodded and ran to the Vampires Everywhere! tour bus. "She will be fine Ben. Her emotions were amplified by the change, she just got overwhelmed." Michael told Ben. "I know, it's just hard to know I could of lost her, but yeah it happend to all of us." Ben agreed. Cyndy came back and handed everything to Michael. "Ben your blood please." Michael said as he handed him a knife. He cut his wrist and let the blood drop into a wine glass. Michael added the wine and stirred it up. "Keep this by for when she wakes up, she will need it to recover her energy." Michael said handing the glass to Cyndy. Michael took the healing herbs and prepared them. He cleansed my body and dropped some of the ashes on my wrist wound. It healed instantly and Michael took the glass and had it ready in his hand. I heard faint whispering as I opened my eyes. "Wha..?" I began. "Shh. drink this." Michael cut me off and handed me the glass. I drank it slowly and my energy returned to my body.

"Thank god Lil Bum is okay!" Cyndy said as she hugged me. "What the hell happend?" I asked everyone staring at me with relief in their eyes. "You ran away.." Ben said quietly. I dropped my head in shame. "Don't be ashamed, your emotions haven't adjusted to be amplified like that. It happens to all of us." Michael explained as he turned to leave. "Thank you Michael.." I said to him. "You're welcome." He said as he exited the tour bus. "Well, Lil bum i'll see you tomorrow!" Cyndy smiled as she left. Ben sat down next to me. I hugged him tightly and he kisses me. "Don't ever scare me like that again baby." He told me. "I'm sorry.." I said quietly. He carried me to bed and we fell asleep in each others arms.

"It happens to all of us huh?" Cyndy asked Michael. "Yeah, I went insane for a couple days." Michael replied. "But what about me?" Cyndy asked. "Well, do you have any strong urges?" Michael asked her back. "Well, I feel more lustful." Cyndy answered truthfully. Michael smiled evily and said "Well, I can ix that.". She changed and took control of him. He gave into her. "Like I said happens to all of us." Michael laughed demonically.

The next day I woke up early and decided to practice the song list for tonight's show. Ben woke up to the sound of guitar and walked into the recording studio. "Wow, hun is that tonight's line up?" He asked. "Yeah, I woke up early and got bored." I answered as I finished up "To the stage". Danny walked in and looked at me. "What?" I asked him. "I heard you playing, how about you play onstage with us?" Danny asked. Ben nodded in agreement. "Just for tonight?" I said getting exicted. "How about everynight, the more the crazier!" Danny said. "Let's fucking do it." I answered. "Alright reherse the lin.." Danny started. "Already did mate." I showed him my papers I was playing from. He gave me a thumbs up and left. I hugged Ben and ran off the tour bus still in my pajamas. I knocked on the VE tour bus and walked on. "Brandy?" Michael asked confused. "BUM!!!" Cyndy yelled from the kitchen. "I'm playing guitar on stage with the band for the rest of the tour!!!!!" I said excitedly. "That is so badass! I can't wait to watch! It's your dream come true!" She said smiling real big. "Congrats, that's fucking awesome" Michael said as he patted my back. I grabbed some bacon and went back to change. "Lets reherse this shit!" Danny yelled as we arrived to our stage. I was so stoked, I couldn't believe this was happening.

"Alright everyone, We have a extra fucking special suprise for you! Someone new is here playing with us tonight, she is fucking bad ass on the guitar and will play for the rest of the tour. Please welcome Ben Bruce's girlfriend, Brandy!" Danny anounced me to the stage. I ran out and everyone chanted my name. "Now lets turn the fucking volume up and get this party under way!" Danny yelled. "1,2,3,4, All the things she said, was it all in my head?" Danny began singing "Not the american average". Everyone cheered and rocked out. The show ended and we went backstage to chill with the VIP fans. All of them talked to me and complimented me on my guitar playing. As the last fan left, Cyndy and Michael joined up with us. "You were so kickass on stage!" Cyndy told me. "You were very good, i'm impressed." Michael said nodding his head at me. "That's my little rockstar." Ben said as he held my waist and kissed my head. We all laughed and walked off the stage and around the venu. It felt so good for the four of us to hang out and bond. It was like a huge family finally coming together.
