jacks pov still:

i have to prove to him i want his daughter, but i also have to prove to him i'm not a cocky asshole

i'm gonna play best i can, that's final.

the ref walks over

i'm to in my head this is bad for me

the whistle blows and the puck falls.

i get it.

i go to the pens goalie and pass it to nico on the way.

56 seconds into the first period i get a goal.

crosby gets a goal 6 minutes and 25 seconds into the first period.

no more goals are made

we're in overtime.

after nico wins the faceoff i get the puck. i pass it to hamilton and he shoots.

he scores

we did it. we won!

i hope ava is proud

and i hope Sydney dosent kill me..

i go into the locker room and go to text ava but i already have a text from her

ava's pov:

i go sit outside the locker room waiting for jack. he comes out with wet hair, freshly showered. he walked over and hugged me.

"my next game is in 2 days, it's also a home game so we won't be traveling yet" he says

"alright, i'm fine with whatever" i say

"do you think we could both go out to dinner with your dad tonight?" he ask

"are you sure you wanna do that?" i respond

"i wanna prove to him i'm not an ass, plus you won't see him for a few days so i want u to be able to spend some time with him before he goes back to pittsburgh" he says

"if your 100% sure, where do u wanna go eat i'll go ask him." i say

"i was thinking something simple like olive garden so he doesn't think i'm a show off" jack suggest

"he loves olive garden, perfect. i'll go ask now"
i say

i run over and knock on the door of the pens locker room

"is my dad in there?" i yell

a few voices yell back "yes" and "he is"

"are u guys all decent" i yell agin

i get more yes's and no no's  so i walk in.

"dad good job!" i say

"thank you" he says dully

"soooo.." i  hesitate

"sooooooo" he mocks

"will you come to dinner with me and jack" i ask
