"jeez jing, what's got you all hot and blushy?" miki smirked teasingly as she fell into the seat next to the said girl, nudging her side. "i haven't seen you this dreamy since you bought your car," she muttered.
"did haechan finally sweep you off your feet?" kang kyomin, mikis cousin, smiled as she sat down as well. the younger girl lived in haerin, so they hardly got to see her. every once in a while she came to visit, today being the special day.
"how do you know about haechan?" jing creased her brows, tilting her head. kyomin chuckled, pushing a red drink towards jing before she began to sip from her own.
"my sister used to hang out with him and his goons twenty four seven. i am unfortunately well acquainted with mickey and the roadster racers,"the long haired girl pursed her lips and shook her head, shoulders slumping. "i'm also friends with chaeyeon, she says he never shuts up about you," she snickered.
jings ears and neck grew hot and a cold shiver ran down her spine at the idea of the male talking about her to his friends. and suddenly she was nervous again.
"you really like him, don't you jing?" miki asked endearingly, pushing a strand behind the older girls red ears. it wasn't every day their friends got to see her blushy and happy.
jing had always had some sort of soft spot for miki. she hated people touching her unless it was miki, she hated sharing beds with people unless it was miki, and most of all she hated speaking about her actual feelings with people, unless it was miki.
the girl was like another younger sister to her. the bond they had was special because even though they argued and poked at each other, they truly had a strong bond.
"i think i do," jing groaned, throwing herself into mikis arms. "i just don't get it! i haven't had a crush on someone since song mingi in elementary school. i feel like a little girl again," she whined, hiding her face in her hands.
"ah young love, so cute," miki giggled, rocking side to side while holding the older girl close. "don't you just love to see it minnie? she's giggling and kicking her feet over a middle class man. that's a first," she teased, earning a slap to the thigh from jing.
"she's expanding her food pallet," kyomin joked, leaning over the table to poke the older girl. "haechans a ladies man, but when he falls he falls hard," she hummed.
"i don't even know where he's taking me. he said he wants it to be a surprise," jing huffed, pulling herself off of miki. "i just want us to do something cute and cozy. like the movies or like an ice cream date... do i seem like a cozy date kind of girl?" she frowned.
"i love you babe, but no. not in a million years would you look like a cozy date kind of girl. if i were taking you on a date, i'd expect to spend thousands," mikis words did nothing to comfort her.
in fact, they dragged her into a large pool of worry and doubt. the last thing she wanted was haechan spending tons of money on her. she feared that he feared that she wouldn't like whatever he planned if it wasn't luxurious.
"don't fret babe, just tell him you don't want anything too big. you've got time," miki sighed, rubbing her arm. jing groaned, letting her head fall down towards the table, the orange haired girl placing her hand in the way before she could give herself a concussion.
she didn't know why she was freaking out this much. it was a simple date with a simple guy. well... maybe not a simple guy, but she's been on many dates before.
maybe this was different because she actually liked donghyuck and didn't just agree to a blind date with him because her friends or parents asked her to. ew, it was weird to actually admit that she liked him.
maybe she was just an attention whore and he gave her the kind of attention she really wanted, but that didn't really make that much sense in the end.
"i can hear you thinking ji, just relax. you've been taken on dates in fucking paris before. i'm sure haechan won't do anything more than taking you to a fancy restaurant, which you can tell him not to do by the way," miki sighed for the nth time, sending a look towards her cousin for help.
"if you want i could tell chaeyeon to tell him not to? if it really bothers you that much," kyomin spoke up, frowning at the older. jing pulled her head from mikis palm, shaking her head.
"i'm just overreacting because i'm nervous, it's nothing," she dismissed, sipping from the red drink kyomin had gotten her. "i'll appreciate whatever he does, i promise. i just want to spend time with him," kyomin and miki both gaged dramatically before she could even finish her sentence.
"he's turned her soft!" kyomin exclaimed in mock despair, running her hands over her face. "my poor ice queen, melted into a mushy pond of the feels," she sighed, shaking her head.
"i did not melt into a mushy pond of the feels,"
"no no, i think you did,"
