Tori

"What the actual fuck Tor'?" He yelled at me.

"What? Poor not so wittle—fat ass Leigh with her high yella ass, she just couldn't handle the truth as always and big bad Mack had the chance come save her but didn't. He never will. Boohoo get over it, I had to."

"This isn't fucking high school Tori. This is folks real life you messin' with! She has a child she gotta take of. I don't want them out on the streets."

"But it's okay if I am? For this white trash and her trash ass baby? You the daddy?"

"No, but you gon' watch your mouth, especially about baby boy, that's an innocent child you're talking about. Let's get to the real. What do you want from me? Because I have to now go upstairs and convince her to stay."

What's gotten into Kaine lately?

"What makes her so special? I want my job and my man back! But now I see why you've been acting strange—y'all fucking around and playing house. I saw the way you held her Kaine! You never held me like that! But her big ass, you will? Have some fucking decorum. Respect! Respect for us! Respect for our 10 years! Respect for our chi-."

"Don't. You have no fucking right chastise me about shit, especially not about  that one up there! You made her life a living fucking nightmare! Now you doing it again. I held her back! Because once she got to you, you would be done, and her future is more important than your face right now."

The thought of their bodies touching disgusted—it saddened me. I knew he always had a soft spot for her, he just stared at me in shock.

Her popping up all of a sudden does not sit well with me whatsoever.

After high school she disappeared. No trace. Only assumptions about New York and NYU but nothing was ever solidified.

"And fucking?! That's what the fuck is on your mind right now? If you haven't forgotten; I have a company to run! Niggas want me dead. Fuck that childish ass shit. This is real mothafuckin' life. Mine. Hers. Yours. Even if we was fuckin'. So the fuck what Tori? What are you gon' do? Huh?"

As I was about to speak, he put his hand up, signaling me to not even think about speaking.

"Aht, Leigh and I are employer and employee. That's it. She's a mother and right now, you're jeopardizing that little boy's future, the more you stand here."

"That can't--"

"I don't have to answer my phone all the time. She does that for me. I don't have to cook, clean, be prepared, or be on edge. She's the best thing that's happened to me in a while, to my brand—as an assistant and friend. If you wanted to talk to me, you should've came and talked to me, not through your hoe ass friends or busted ass mama, or with these weird ass antics on these blogs. You want me? You want us? Do better or move the fuck on. Let me go talk to her and you get the hell out of my house til you can do what's right. Take a fucking walk. We're done  here."

"You--don't love me anymore. You won't even listen to what I have to say, that's why I have too-"

He just stared at me,

I decided to let fake tears run down my face, "Okay I'll get better. Just for you. We're gonna be married and have kids therefore we both have to work on ourselves."

"Good Tor', now, can you just go?" He pushed me as I tried to get him to hold me.

Damn, he must not have really cared. His mind was stuck on Leigh.

I couldn't even get him to comfort me.

Leigh

"All that I fuckin' went through and he still doesn't have anything to say because of Victoria Graham."
