"Since you have a weak body, we will strengthen your stamina and body with these starter cuffs" Lyra flicks her finger and the cuffs weighing 12 pounds each appear to Klyne's both arm and feet.
"Arrrggghhh, it's heavy" he complained " Are you sure it's for starters"
" Are you doubting my teaching skills?" She crosses her arm while raising her eyebrow
" No Master" He immediately answer
They are in the training ground of the duchy where trees are dancing from the wind. The sun just rises when they start their training.
" Good, you should be thankful instead of complaining "
She points her finger at the top of his head and a number 0 appears.
" Give me 100 laps, the number on your head counts every successful attempt"
"100?" His eye widened
" You started early" a man in a training suit with a wood sword approached them.
His blonde hair shines against the sunlight.
"Dad!"
" You have cuffs already"
" You're not here to interfere, are you?" She asked the duke
"Of course not, I'm just checking my son"
" You better not, and keep your word" she proclaimed " You may go, your disturbing our wonderful training "
" Haha, see you later, son" he winks at his son before leaving.
" Let's start, I'm just sitting under that tree "
He starts walking but toppled.
Her teacher laughs
"So baby" she's shaking her head while laughing
He glares at his Master while struggling to get up.
After a few more attempts, he steadied his position and got ready to make laps.
He can't run though, even if he tries to, he is just like walking in slow motion.
His determination to complete his training failed. He just ended up 10 laps at the end of the day.
"Thanks to you, I finished reading this novel" her master pointed out teasing him
" I wonder when will you get over this starter training, seeing how you struggle on your first day" she laughs
He clenches his fist
" I'll try harder tomorrow, thank you for today Master" he bows
" Ok then see you tomorrow "
He didn't raise his head
Did I tease him too much? she ask herself
Before she turned around and left, Klyne collapsed.

When he open his eyes, he's at the field where the sun is setting.
"Klyne.." someone is calling him
He looked behind him and saw a woman with raven hair and purple eyes. She reminds him of someone he only sees on the portrait.
He got teary
"Mom?"
