She sighed happily, as she walked through the school gate. A full day was now behind her, leaving the afternoon untouched in front of her. As she made her way through the crowded space in front of the school, she put her headphones in. She walked around the corner, still choosing the perfect song and as she looked up, the tunes of the song now in her ears, the sunshine hit her face. A wide smile spread across her face, as she felt the warmth of the sun filling up her body, making her feel even better than before. The deep light blue sky with a few white clouds promised an amazing afternoon and she already thought of herself laying outside in the sun with a good book and sunglasses. Luckily, the homework load was bearable and she walked home, greeting the strangers that crossed her way with a warm, cheerful smile. There was nothing better than finding joy in the little things, like sunshine after school.
