"Just one more pin I swear and you'll be done! Jeez someone's getting a little impatient to get married" yelled Jessica.

Married... I am about to get married. I still wasn't able to accept the fact that I was about to become his completely in barely a few hours. I was about to belong entirely to the love of my life.

Taking a peek at the women in the mirror looking back at me, a women entirely someone else.

My long brunette hair had been loosely curled and was accessorized with fragile Baby's Breath flowers.

Jessica was still fixing my eyeliner. We opted for something more natural with nude eyeshadow and a little bit of lip-gloss. Although Jessica wanted to get a little creative with the make-up, I declined. I didn't wanna look like a puff pastry wanting to explode at any minute, at least not today.

My white sheath wedding dress was just perfect, fitting tight by my waist but fell straight to the floor just below my hips, with a sparkling flare.

"Oh... Jess I.. Look.." I choked out trying my very best not to cry. Jessica pulled me into warm embrace giving me her support just like she had been for the past 18 years, a strong bond we had built together through unbreakable trust and the infinite love we had for each other.

"Beautiful" replied a sweet voice completing my sentence, a voice I could recognize from any where in the world.

I looked up to see my mother dressed in a white satin gown. Her hair pulled back in a low pony tail with her signature smile on her lips, the smile that always managed to give me hope to overcome whatever problems I face in life.

"Oh mom!" I couldn't hold back the tears, now. No matter how older you get, You'll always remain as a child to your Mother.

"Oh shush darling! You're gonna ruin all of Jessy's hard work here. You wouldn't want my son to see you like this, now would you?" she states before wiping tears off my cheeks.

'My son', My heart skipped a beat at the way she referred to Lucas, the corners of my lips lifted up even at the slightest thought of him.

Even if Luke was going to be her son-in-law, my mother had already adopted him in her heart as her son. They had instantly developed the most pure connection on the first day I had brought Luke home. My dad however was very reserved but he eventually started to give in to Luke's charms as time flew.

He is in fact such a person who'd conquer everyone's hearts. My Prince Charming who rode straight into my heart in a white horse. He was funny and romantic and kind, I mean what else could a woman ask for...

He really became my everything on the day, he asked me to be his girlfriend. I still remember it just like yesterday, it was at his first football game and I couldn't hold myself back from screaming 'yes!'

We were high school sweethearts, and now, we are about to begin a new chapter of our lives, I am was going to be his in a matter of few hours. Just a few hours...

I composed my self and stepped out of my room, my mom and Jess following me from behind. The whole hallway smelled of heavenly lavender and a slight tint of fresh roses and fabric. My cousins had done an outstanding job with the décor.

" Samantha! Help me fix this bow tie! I have been trying to fix the Goddamn... WOW!" My dad stops midway when he catches a glimpse of me. His eyes glistering with a genuine proud smile on his lips. I guess I am going to run out of salt at the end of today.

"You look absolutely stunning Sweetheart! Enough to make your old man cry!" he adds as a tear drop escapes from his eye.

"Oh dad, you are gonna make me cry" I say wiping a couple of drops from my own eyes. He looked real handsome in the suit mum bought him, which he did not like indeed. He would have showed up in his comfy T-shirt if it weren't for mum.

"Ready to walk down the aisle darling? " My dad asked linking my arm with his.

Butterflies were erupting  in my stomach and i was feeling nauseous like always  whenever  i get nervous. Must have been that darn tuna sandwich i had for lunch, which may i add was stuffed down me thanks to Jessica's stern looks. You really don't wanna cross the limits when she's mad. I'm pretty sure she could beat Satan in a blink of an eye if she was mad enough. my palms were cold and sweaty, another habit of my nerves.

i didn't really know why i was feeling so nervous, its just some vows with the love of my life. I mean what could possibly go wrong? Still i wasn't able to push down the uneasy feeling down my stomach. That little tiny voice of my overthinking was going crazy with thoughts of nonsense.

Taking a deep breath in, I smiled at dad and we began walking towards the venue, not before whispering to myself.

"Ready as I'll ever be..."
