Madeleine's POV

Coil sprinted away to the safety of the house, a bunch of what looked like a thousand of glowing eyes were set on me. Suddenly, they started running towards me, guns were fired as they chanted spells. I dodged their attacks, running just like the time I ran to my beloved village, they shot at me. I was unsure what I did, my heart thumped rapidly. I started using combat skills, punching, kicking, etc. At last, I thought they're were all gone. I turned around, quickly after hearing a rustle.

There was more. A bunch more, I decided to run away. Gun shots fired behind me, I didn't know how I managed to not get hit, these people have bad aim! I thought. Until a sudden pain hit me in the back, I didn't want to stop running, but the pain was too much. I fell as I coughed out jam, soon enough they caught up with me. I felt my body being dragged down the hill, my eyes began to get heavy. My vision went black, as I thought of Coil, Latte and Espresso. Its probably the last time I'll ever see them.

My eyes shot open, and I sat up. The light was strong, I gasped for air. I woke up in a cold sweat and looked around my surroundings, Espresso was on a chair by me, head on the bed. "Esp?" I ask suddenly, Espresso lifted his head "Madel?" Espresso mumbled, "Good nap love?" I ask. Espresso blinked before tackling me with kisses, I was surprised but it was welcomed. After a couple of kisses, Espresso asked "..How did you manage to get yourself shot?" I was silent for a moment before telling the story.

"Oh Madel I'm so sorry I couldn't be there!" Espresso apologized, I laughed and shook it off "Its not a big deal, I mean we're both here right? If we have eachother, everything will be alright." I say ruffling his head, before a doctor came in."Ah, I see your awake" the doctor said, turns out I have to stay in this hospital for 2 days. After that, the doctor left, "Is Coil alright?" I ask Espresso. "She's alright," Espresso reassured, thats good I thought, but who was those cookies? Glowy eyes, gun armed, fully masked..Who could they be?
