Mia smiled as Klaus carried her on his back to his art room. It had been a few days since Mia and Kol's bonding and the other siblings were starting to catch on to Mia's distance.

It wasn't that she wasn't spending time with them. In fact, she spent all of her time with them. But every time it was about to become something more than a kiss, she made an excuse and quickly ran out of the room.

Sure Kol had accepted her but that was just Kol. He was a softy and she hadn't planned that. If anything she had planned on telling him the kitchen was on fire so she could run off. That clearly didn't happen due to Kol's loveable persistence.

Mia and Klaus had been making breakfast when it happened. Her other soulmates had been out with Peter, Morgan and Wanda which left the pair alone.

She sat silently on the countertop, her legs swaying as she watched the hybrid cook. She had wanted to make him breakfast however before she could even reach the stove, he set her body on the counter and told her to stay.

"You realize I'm not the dog here, right?" She asked sarcastically as he held her hips in place.

"I'm not a dog, love."

Mia scoffed playfully, "Bullshit. I'm pretty sure I heard you barking at the mailman yesterday."

"He was trying to ask you out!"

"He asked me to sign for a package."

Klaus rolled his eyes, "Bullshit. He was making eyes at you."

"Making eyes at me? Nik, I think he was a little overwhelmed by you with your glowing eyes and fangs glaring at his jugular."

"My- My eyes weren't glowing..."

Mia tilted her head with a smile, "They definitely were. You looked like an angry puppy."

"I did not look like an angry puppy," He argued as he held her thighs, his eyes glancing down at her lips before meeting her eyes once more.

"Are you sure about that?" She asked as she pulled him closer by his belt loop.

His eyes darkened by the act. He couldn't stop himself from kissing her deeply. Taking her bottom lip in his teeth, he sucked on the flesh earning a quiet moan from Mia.

His hands trailed along her thighs, gently squeezing the skin before he fiddled with the hem of her shirt.

Just as he was about to pull the fabric over her head, she slapped his hands away before jumping off the counter, "Your breakfast is on fire! Gotta run!"

The hybrid, however, was faster than her. His hands came up on either side of her as he caged her against the wall, "Why?"

Mia looked at him innocently, "Why what? Why's your breakfast on fire? I don't know- beats me. Um... I really do need to head out though-"
