"What's the results, doctor?" His mum asked, worried.
"I'm very sorry to tell you this but, it's highly unlikely your son will ever experience emotions. It seems as if that part of his body isn't there although, that shouldn't be possible." The doctor said empathetically.
At home
"So he's basically a freak?" His dad groaned. Jaxx was in the other room although he could hear every word.
"Don't say that about our son, Darrel!"
"It's the truth, Lexi! Our son is a freak! We created a mistake!"
'Mistake? Oh wow' Jaxx thought, his head against the wall. He couldn't feel upset or angry.
Later that night, Jaxx laid in his bed, wide awake. He couldn't sleep. He just wondered why he was different that everyone else. He wanted to seem normal but, how could he?
Years later - Age 15
He met him last year... he just felt different around him. His heart began beating faster, his face would warm and he was able to smile for real. His best friend was the cure to his illness. He wanted to keep him. He needed to keep him. Otherwise, he wouldn't know what to do with himself.
But... she's in the way.
Niamh Green. She's been getting all nice and cosy around him. And Jaxx knew she liked him. That wouldn't slide. He wouldn't let it slide...
