"Mama, mama, mama, mama, muum-ahhhh" Sirius patted his own knees while singing his little song.

"Siri, let your Ma finish her work then we can both play with you, mhm?" Lily sighed as James tried to avert Sirius away.
He was successful in his tryings because he was soon leading the toddler like boy out. Lily mouthed a small 'Thank you' to James. He smiled and said something to Sirius and the boy looked back at Lily and giggled.

Outside the door Sirius whined. "But Mama..." Siri said sadly.

"Pup, your mama has work but if we let her do it now we can get you some..." James pretend to think. The other smiled and giggled. James clicked his tongue.

"What do you think about....Ice cream!"

"Mhm! Mhm!"

"That means we have to be good for your mama and me, right pup?"

"Mhm! Mhm!"

"Till Moony gets here, right?"

"Moony?"

"Yep, Moony." James reminded Sirius.

"When? Whens Moony comin'?" The (mentally) younger brightened with the mention of he's favorite person while little(and big if he was being honest); Moony.

"Moony's coming in..." James trailed off while checking his imaginary watch then glanced at the real clock "Twoo hours." He said hesitantly, because he really had no idea when Lupin was coming.

"Hours?" The boy asked pouting.
"Uhh yeah, hang on Pads." James pulled out his phone from his jacket pocket.

Sirius was whining, asking for his Moony, tugging on James' hoodie.

"Guess what lovely, your Moonboy might be here after 2 hours-"
"After? Whyyyyyy???"

"I know but you're gonna stay the night here, that okay?"

"But I cans see Moons?"

"Mhm, he's gonna come to see you, then go back to his work."

James sat Sirius down on the couch, noticing the soft difference in his talking.

"How old are you, lovely?"

Sirius thought for a bit before rising 3 fingers and smiling up at James proudly.
James smiled back and asked him what he wanted to do to wait.

So, Sirius colored for a while and give James a little drawing of him and Moony, looking for James appreciation. James went to hang it on the fridge.
Sirius mostly just sat, leaning up against James after that.

Finally, Lily came out of her little mole hole of an office.
Sirius perked up and ran up to her clumsily, hugging her.

"Hey, how is my boy?" Lily said hugging him back.
"Tired." Sirius said dryly.
" Did Jamesie let you sleep?"
"HE DIDN'T TELL ME HE WAS TIRED!" James stated from the room over.

"Oh come on, Sirius we can cuddle and sleep. Me or James?"
"Both" The boy answered, giggly now.
Lily struggled a bit but she picked Siri up and took him to the bedroom.
"Can you change be yourself, lovely?"
"Mhm! Mhm!"

With that Lily left to get James, still in the living room. They came back to Sirius looking like just the cutest little boy.
In his griffindoor pajamas, Sirius was sitting on the floor, picking at his hands with a paci in, which he almost never regresses young enough to use.
"How old are you feeling, pup?" James crouched down to the others level.
Sirius rises one finger then takes it back down then puts it back up.
"It's okay, puppy."
Sirius smiled cutely at the pet name and reached for James to pick him up. James complied and sat on the bed with Siri on his lap, waiting for Lily. Sirius leaned on James, closing his eyes and putting his head on James shoulder.

Lily had changed quickly and got under the covers. James lade with Sirius on his arms.
"Hi, love" James said to Lily

James put his phone down.
"Hi love." James turned to Lily, she looked up to him.

"Is this what it would be like if we had a kid?" Lily started.
"No. This is definitely harder." James said smiling.
Lily smiled back and reached to grab his glasses from being squashed in the bed.

James complied, lifting his head for Lily to take them off.
Sirius squirmed in the middle of the them, the two softly laughing at the boy.

They two got comfortable together and eventually get to sleep.
