I Didn't Mean To...

Y/N's POV:

So, it's been a few days since I talked to my friends. I was busy with alot of crap. Still nothing heard from Bob yet.

I checked my spotify. The #1 trending song was Darkest Hour, by Saiko. She really did make a song exposing Bob. It was good, I guess. Even though Bob was a bit of a jerk for betraying us like that, I still felt bad for them. I went outside and see everyone, EVERYONE wearing Saiko's merch. I then saw Bob's former mansion in a giant truck, with a purple teletubby driving it.

"Hey? Isn't that Bob's?" I asked. The teletubby looked at me. "Oh, you mean that angry marshmallow who used to be a rapper? Well, they refused to pay for it. So they now live in the dumpster."

I headed straight there and see Bob, lying down in fetal position. He looked really upset. I walked to him. "Hey, bud." I whispered softly. Bob muttered something in gibberish. "Do you wanna talk?" I asked kindly. He muttered again, puffing his cheeks. I'd take that as a no.

I reached out to comfort Bob. He flinched a bit before my hand could touch him. Did he really think I was gonna hurt him or something? I stroked his head gently. He didn't bother reacting then, he just sighed, disappointed in himself. I felt my finger accidentally slip under their hood and touch their hair by mistake.
(In case you don't know, Bob canonically has hair that's kept tucked under their hood)

I moved my hand, thinking that Bob was gonna get more upset if I touched under his hood without permission. I was wrong. He looked at me. "Why...did you...stop?" he muttered. I guess he liked it.

I pulled their hood down a bit and started to gently stroke their long, violet ponytail. For a sewer ghost that is associated with garbage, his hair is really soft. Like really, really, REALLY soft. Not to over react, but it almost felt like as if Bob dumped his head in a bucket of conditioner everyday. He sighed gently. "Don't...stop...please..." "I won't stop unless you want me too, ok?" I smiled to Bob. He still wasn't smiling. But he seemed a little content. I just wanted them to be happy again.

"Do you realize how adorable you are?" I asked.

Bob's eyes started to fill with tears. His small body started to shake. Mucus formed in his hidden nose. His breathing got louder, which turned into sobbing seconds after.

"Hey, bud, hey!" I whispered over Bob's crying. "What's wrong, talk to me."

Bob sat up. "Adorable? How am I adorable? I just ruined your life for no bloody reason and you think THAT'S ADORABLE???!?" They buried their face into their sleeves. "I'm a monster!" they sobbed loudly.

It hurt me to see Bob cry. He's usually known for being so happy and bubbly. It broke my heart seeing him so upset.

I held him gently as I pet their soft, fluffy hair. "I'm sorry!" he cried, shaking as I held him. "You're not a monster, Bob." I comforted him. "You're my friend, I understand how you feel right now."

"No you don't." the ghost whimpered. "I've treated you like crap lately. You should've just left me to rot in the sewers. Your life would be better then." I knew that wasn't true.

"Didn't you help us out of the sewers and use your magic to save us from Ganondorf?" I asked.

Bob's tear filled eyes shot wide open. "M-Magic? I was...lying about being a wizard. I'm just a normal a** garo. I just said that to be interesting."

"Bob, you're more than just that. You're adorable, funny, and awesome. You're a great friend, trust me."

Bob's lip trembled and they burst into a hug, crying into my chest. "I just don't want to be alone, I'm scared!"

I pet him gently. "I won't let anything happen to you. I promise. You're my friend, and that's what matters."
I sang him a song that my parents would sing to me when I was upset.

Days seem sometimes as if they'll never end
Sun digs its heels to taunt you
But after sunlit days, one thing stays the same
Rises the moon
Days fade into a watercolour blur
Memories swim and haunt you
But look into the lake, shimmering like smoke
Rises the moon
Oh-oh, close your weary eyes
I promise you that soon the autumn comes
To darken fading summer skies
Breathe, breathe, breathe
Days pull you down just like a sinking ship
Floating is getting harder
But tread the water, child, and know that meanwhile
Rises the moon
Days pull you up just like a daffodil
Uprooted from its garden
They'll tell you what you owe, but know even so
Rises the moon
You'll be visited by sleep
I promise you that soon the autumn comes
To steal away each dream you keep
Breathe, breathe, breathe

By the time the song was done, Bob stopped crying, and they were asleep in my arms. He looked so cute. I stayed by him for a bit so he knew that he'll never be alone again.
