It had been the next day after Lani's experience on the reef, and it was easy to tell that her parents and many others were upset with her. Spending the night at her grandmother's house had been suitable for the girl as she could think to herself and avoid interactions with her parents. Lani knew yesterday's events would not be dropped so quickly as she would have to deal with her parents and everyone else looking towards her and their whispers. The young girl had many questions about understanding everything that had unfolded yesterday for her.

Lani " ......." Lani sat quietly eating her meal, still thinking about the tulkun she met yesterday and the creatures that tried to hunt her. Why did she give up the fight like it was nothing?.

Moat: " My child, you should eat as it will do you well."

Lani: " Yes, grandma."

Moat: " I still wonder why you have covered for that boy; even if she the olo'eythan son, he should still get in trouble."

Lani: " I don't know what you mean, grandmother."

Moat: " Don't lie to me, child. I have been around for many years and seen how people have acted, even regarding the youth."

Lani: "He left me on the reef with his friends. It seems like it was revenge for the fright."

Moat: " So their egos had been bruised, so they sought out a foolish plan that resulted in you getting hurt."

Lani:" Dad said I need to say sorry because he is the chief's son, and he is also the son of tshaik as well ... so I need to be the better person and say I was sorry."

Moat: " Just because he is the son of Oloeythan and tshaik doesn't give him right to be rude towards you ... I had made your mother say sorry when she was in the wrong."

Lani: " Well, it seems like my dad doesn't think the same, but hey, the night was good, and getting called a shame wasn't new to me. Now two clans know I'm a shame to my father even more." Lani ate some of her breakfast as Moat looked at her; this woman had many things she wished to say to Jake Sully and her daughter, along with speaking with tonowari and ronal about their son's actions.

Moat: "Well, if you ask me, they are the shame right now."

Lani " ......."

Mo'at: "They all blame a girl for actions out of her control and say she brought shame. If Jake had seriously cared about you apologizing, he would have come with you and had to be there to be a good father and role model. That foolish boy should have been saying sorry as well. He had insulted you and had no right to do that ever."

Lani: " I agree, Grandmother, but everyone else has said what they thought about me. What shall be different about him."

Mo'at: " Yes, people can be cruel and blind to what they see before them."

Lani: " Thank your grandmother." Lani had finished her breakfast and helped her grandmother clean up as well.

Moat: "My dear, if you wish to stay here longer, you can, and you don't need to rush home to them."

Lani " Thank you, grandma, but it's time to face my parents and siblings after last night and see what they have to say to me."moat kissed her granddaughter's head before they left the home and continued with their days.

???? " Lani" lani soon looked to see tsireyo and neteyam standing there. She had given them a soft smile.

Lani " Hello"

Tsireyo: " Good morning. We came to see how you were doing since yesterday's events."

Lani: " I'm doing good. My injuries will heal in time."
